just about to start. already i cant stand these announcers. i will in FL in two weeks, wish the tourney was then :)
SCSU beat Maine in sudden death shootout
Early penalty on Cornell, BC with pressure on McKee.
O'Byrne goes to the box... ::rolleyes::
Great sequence of kick saves by McKee
Cornell is killing themselves early
Another penalty on Cornell, BC 5x3 for 1:14.
The stands look more full than they were for the first game.
that interference call was weak. Dammit
Full strength. 1-0 BC on Bertram's 5x3 goal.
Early shot advantage is 5-1, BC.
what a stupid opening to the game...5 on 3 and then the stoppage of play
Good to see that there are 54 visitors to eLynah!
Anyone else not getting the Gametracker to work?
I'm getting "Live game feed will begin automatically once the game has started."
http://livestats.uscho.collegesports.com/livestats/data/m-hockey/291630/
That stoppage may have been a break for Cornell. Give them some time to regroup.
who is this joke of a referee???
that was a good call...stupid play by Gleed. The first interference was crazy though
Even the BC announcers are calling this latest penalty "marginal."
For those watching the game on the TV, are these penalties justified, or are the refs being a little loopy? There is no way Cornell stands a snowball's chance in hell of winning if they keep up like this.
Cam has figured out how to force the turnover on the kill
BC setting up shop right in McKee's face. Cam Abbott with a nice forecheck steal and shot.
that last penalty on Gleed was clearly a good call...during the faceoff, Gleed was off to the side, wasn't moving his feet and got his stick tangled with the legs of the BC player
shortie!!!!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GO RED!!!!!!!!!!
8:20 Cornell O'Byrne sh (unassisted)
Real good effort to redeem for his silly penalty at the beginning of the game
so much for hearing Davy after our goals ::screwy::
Cornell is on the PP...BC is disrupting our PP really well
so far the bc players are more than a little chippy ... taking all the cheap shots after the whistle they can get away with.
The fake shots are causing our d to hesitate ever so slightly and then BC zooms around the defender
Topher looks tiny on TV...he needs some smaller shorts
Cornell PP
:-) a pretty good game so far
just found out that adelphia has cstv but we dont get it ::uhoh::
back to even strength, end of 1st still 1-1
1-1 at the end of the first period.
CSTV studio guys are saying that this first period makes the first game seem like a snoozer...yeah, the first two periods of the first game were slow but our game picks up right where the first game left off
CSTV is currently showing that clip on the skating tread mill that RedAR posted to the forum a little while back
Interview with Ned Harkness between periods. He's hilarious. Sounds like Burgess Meredith talking to Rocky.
Did you hear him end the interview with, "Hope Cornell beats the hell out of BC"?
Darn, wish I had heard that interview! Was anyone recording?
O'Byrne gets tricked into another stupid penalty...BC is trying to get under our skin
Cornell going on a PP
is there an irc chat?
> Was anyone recording?
Each gamecast is archived on the Cornell athletic dept site, usually about 3 days after the game. The archives may not require a membership.
awesome, thanks!
Nice flurry by Cornell, there. Cornell outshooting BC 4-1 early in the 2nd.
Big Red off to a better start in the second period. Shots 5-1 in favor of Cornell.
Cornell back on pp; 0x3 so far.
At the World Junior Championships, Canada is leading Germany 4-0 at the end of the first period. 17 year old phenom Crosby has 2 of the goals.
it is torture - cstv is on my lineup online but comes in as a black screen without audio...yet adelphia has no idea why it is sort of coming in. it is torture! ;)
Cornell loves the second period this year
BC back on pp.
pp BC
their sixth
weak. Was that a make up call or what?
boys club goal, bc 2-1
1 2:40 BC pp Bertram
1 8:20 Cor sh O'Byrne 2 (unassisted)
2 12:05 BC pp Shannon (Eaves, Albert)
Now Cornell back on pp.
These refs are going nuts...someone told them they would be on TV
BC's penalty kill is really buzzing...high pressure. Their players have got to be tiring ::idea::
Cornell penalty, up coming boys club PP
Pegs penalty nullifies pp.
Carefoot is really flying...Where is Hynes? He is disappearing
Cornell going back on pp.
Cornell PP
Anyone want to see five on five hockey? Then you're going to have to move along...
Weak matching minors
Another penalty on BC; 5x3 advantage. Iggulden shaken up on x-check.
Boarding 5 min major on Alberts
MAJOR! Come on refs, don't screw this up
OK, time to cash in!
bc refs are whining
5 minutes to cash in as many times as we can :-D
Was that Herman I just saw on TV? Very cool
GOAL Special K!!!!! 2-2
sweet!
that was quick
423 left in major
LGR!
3:37 of PP carries over into 3rd
Damn good period against a good team. I hope Cornell can grab one more ppg to begin the third and then turn it over to the D.
Mike Eurizone needs to stop talking about BU during every intermission...they're not in this tournament!
what was the scoring on the second Cornell goal?
nevermind, it's: Knoepfli from Pokulok (5 x 3 PPG) at 19:14
2 19:14 Cor pp Knoepfli 4 (Pokulok 4)
Three promos for Hockey East so far, none that I saw for the ECAC. I'm sure CSTV gave both sides a couple free promo slots.
One other problem with minor sports on what hopes to be major TV: thin advertiser coverage, so you see the same 3-5 advertisers again and again.
Oh, yeah, and it's not HD.
... but it's a darn sight better than radio or Webcasts. Too bad the place looks kind of empty. Notre Dame and Ohio State draw a lot more snowbirds than St. Cloud.
Knopfli from Pokulok.
Even strength, 16:17 in reg.
Well, two of the teams in the tourney are from HE
Cornell goes back on pp with Hynes drawing a penalty off a steal.
yeah, it's good to see him
Another even-up, so Cornell will be shorthanded for a brief time.
boys club PP ... Cam doesn't seem to like his face on TV
Silly penalty by Cam behind a 2 on 1...Cam is covering the camera in the box with the butt of his stick to the disappointment of the CSTV guys...and now a 5x3 coming up for BC
lgr
Crap; borderline call on Krantz. BC will have a 5x3.
[Q]Greg Berge Wrote:
Another even-up[/q]
Third time tonight that Cornell has taken a penalty to wipe out their own power play.
craziness
3 8:45 BC pp Boyle (Eaves, Rooney)
Anyone have a penalty count?
And now Cornell goes back on pp, again. This will be their 9th chance.
i think we both have 8
[Q]atb9 Wrote:

I believe BC is 3x9, and Cornell is 1x8 with their ninth chance coming up now
5x3! These refs are crazy
Cornell now up 5x3, again! Yikes. My unofficial pp count so far: CU 1x10 (2 in progress), BC 3x11 (1 sh)
5x3 for :34
BC one skater back.
how much time is left?
We're forcing it...come on guys! Work it around the horn!
6:13
Schafer timeout. 6:13 to go, Cornell on pp.
Looking over the replays, two goals beat McKee short side...too bad...Kit has been damn good for BC
LGR!
pokulok is playing a very good game so far...he just made a slapshot off the crossbar
5 mins to go, shots are 9-5 Cornell in third, 25-20 in the game; but it's still 3-2 BC and we are back to even strength.
two goals from 5x3 and one from 5x4...
LGR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Icing strategy has taken hold of BC... ::rolleyes::
~5 min left...i have to sleep. hopefully i will wake up to good news :)
LGR!
DIVING!
3:59 to go, faceoff in BC end.
3:28 to go.
thanks for the time update Greg...gotta remember that
Krantz stands up a BC forward and sets up a nice Abbott rush. We'll be at 4x4 with 2:55 to go.
Cornell has outshot BC 27-15 since the early minutes (when BC was up 5-0), but we are still trailing by one. McKee should be leaving the net soon.
2:24 faceoff in front of Kaltiainen.
BC penalty, too many men!
1:25 to go.
good job spelling his name :-)
McKee off, 5x3. Gionta scores for BC, damnit.
crazy...needed to get the puck deep...this is gonna get ugly...BC is chippy and trying to prove something, while we're crashing the net hard
42 seconds to go, big pileup in front of Kaltiainen. McKee off again, so 5x3 with a Cornell en.
Gionta penalty, Cornell up 6x3.
Eaves was huge at the end of the game
4 seconds to go; Cornell ends the game up 3 skaters... Oh well.
Tough loss...take away special teams and it is 0-0. Take away the first few minutes and we dominated...tough loss
Who were the three stars of the game. My audio faded just when they were about to announce it.
The one good thing to come of this loss is that we'll be playing Maine instead of SCSU, which will likely cut better for us in the PWR later on.

Only if we win. I'd rather have SCSU and a better chance to win the game. Not that either of them played that well yesterday.
Did they explain on TV the reason for the very long delay with all the discussion during the first period? It looked to me like after BC's 5X3 goal they took the wrong Cornell penalty off the board so they had to go back and replay a few minutes of the game.
