If you're starved for hockey like I am, chack out MSG tonight at 7:00. Hartford Wolf Pack (15-6-1-2) vs. Manchester Monarchs (20-2-1-0), two of the best teams in the league. Dustin Brown plays for the Monarchs and is 12th in the league in scoring with a 12-13-25 line in 23 games played.
... and for those who get Fox Sports North the second leg of the Minnesota v. St. Cloud State is on at 8:00pm ET.
get ready for some pure-talent-systemless-end-to-end WCHA hockey ::nut:: ::popcorn:: ::nut::
For those new to the boards that might not know...Dustin Brown is originally from Ithaca. After winning the 2000-2001 OHL scholastic player of the year award, some of us fools new to Cornell hockey envisioned Dustin in Red and White. Unfortunately for us, he was too good and never really considered college. Fortunately for him, Dustin was drafted with the 13th pick of the 2003 draft by the LA Kings and made the team during training camp. He spent the entire season with the Kings during his rookie campaign, but mostly due to an ankle injury, he only played in 31 games. He's a late '84 and he's in the second year of a three year deal.
I know the feeling. I found myself watching the Philadelphia Phantoms play the Hershey Bears last night.
Desperate times.
Once you've been with an OHL team for more than 48 hours, you lose your NCAA Eligibility, so he couldn't have come anyways.
Heh... I was at this Wolfpack game tonight... WOW delays. We were figuring we wouldn't be home until midnight ;-)
I think my favorite penalty was "2 minutes for being the third man in an altercation."

A Wolf*Pack game delayed by a bunch of fights? 'cause that never happens. ::rolleyes::
