Windows Media Player is Evil. Why can't WEOS use something else?
Anyway, is anyone else getting a 9/11 special instead of the game?
Game begins at 7:30 - broadcast rolls at 7:20. I wondered the same thing when I logged on at 6:50.
ahhh
so i am not the only confused person
lol

LOL. Modem connect noise, followed by Grady talking to the guy in the studio.
RPI band in the background.
I could change mine to the really real thread, but I'll yield ;).
I would love to be listening to Grady via WEOS, but their web stuff is very badly broken. I'm listening to WRPI, which is certainly better than nothing.
Whooooops. Beeeej left his eLynah info on my home desktop web browser. That last post was from me, not "Jeffrey."
My Grady signal's not bad... wonder what the difference is - does Mac not like Windows Media Player?
I'm using the wife's Win2k box for the audio, so I don't think we can blame apple for this one... ;)
Well, Windows Media Player (which mostly works great under Mac OS X) crashes when I can get as far as getting it launched. That took some doing, because WEOS's web site is just plain broken. I exchanged several e-mails with Mike Black up there today, but I don't think he gets that not everyone uses the same version of the same browser on the same platform that he does. He finally acknowledged that their listen-live page has "issues" for Netscape users, but didn't want to acknowledge that their main page redirects to a broken URL that brings up a 404 error.
Now, if I use IE in Mac OS X, I can see most of the stuff on the web site, but WMP falls down.
Great.
Just tried listening to 90.3 FM on the radio. Classical music. Hm. How handy.
Mike Black felt his regular listeners wouldn't care for hockey...
I kept getting 404s also, but finally got through from a different link. Once I got it, broadcast quality has been fine.
MHA-
I'm getting it fine on X... Try resinstalling WMP and make sure to click on that "Netscape users click here" thing. Or maybe try WMP under Classic.
i am getting it fine on xp but it sounds a little metallic. scratchy. 0-0 1st period 6:15 left
0-0 end of the 2nd period.
Here's hoping for OT ;-)
Perhaps overtime is the best thing to happen to us. Lots of them. Can we get some score updates on this thread?
And after three scoreless periods. a massive northeast grid power failure so they have to finish the game tomorrow morning. ::nut::
Darthmouth 1, RPI 0
9:01 to go
Wow, either my feed is behind, or that was an incredibly fast post.
Fast post, I think. :-D
I'm just really bored.
I think the WEOS feed is well behind.
wohoo! game tied at 1
Whoa...RPI tied it up.
EDIT: Damn! Too slow. :-D
(I'll stop ruining your game now) but the goal was at 2:36 to go,
Let's Go Overtime!!!!
RPI ties
Engineer lead, 2-1. 1:08 left.
2-1 RPI.
RPI scores again, takes the lead! 1:08 to go!
EDIT: Screw it, I'm giving up now. :-D
RPI goes up...
And that's it. See ya, Dartmouthhhhh
Engineers win.
So...now what? ::twitch::
RPI wins 2-1
Revenge, shmevenge. I'm happy.
Elsewhere: CC over Wisc 3-2, goal at 0:53 of overtime. Tigers move on to face Denver.
Is that good for us, bad for us, or just doesnt matter?
Well, it's bad in that CC can still catch us in RPI now (haven't checked where they stand). But if they win the WCHA it could help us in PWR. Also, Wiconsin can no longer get an upset bid, which is good.
