Title: Vermont
Post by: cquinn on November 15, 2004, 02:35:53 PM
Just a heads up for those Faithful heading to the UVM game...the parking lot at Gutterson is completely torn up.  They are constructing a parking garage.  There are satellite parking lots with shuttle bus service to the rink.  Plan your arrival time accordingly.

At least it should be so cold the mud will be ice, so there's that in favor on the Vermont trip.

Hey Bill. Do you have an opinion on *everything*? Shouldn't you be busy shilling windows or something?

On what would you like to opine next? Maybe the bra size of the Go Red girls? Or how about the best roast beef sandwich near Quinnipiac? And how about the best place to get your tires rotated in Princeton? After all, you seem to have an informed opinion on everything else.

I'm sure you are great guy to have a beer with and talk hockey, but your tendency to comment on *every* *single* *thread* is becoming a wee bit tiresome.

Facetimer posting a "Don't feed the trolls" picture.  If this isn't evidence of hell freezing over, I don't know what is. :-D

Am I breaking up an imaginary slap-fight or are you really annoyed?  It's so hard to tell what is sarcasm and what is anger on the internet...but I read it as is.

If you don't like what Bill says, then don't read his posts--they're clearly marked for easy ignoring if that is what you want to do.  But don't lessen my experience by getting one of my favorite posters to post less.  Bill creates a lot of discussion and that's the best part of eLynah.  Keep it up, Bill.  Don't ever ask yourself WWJHD? to decide which threads to post to.

Bill is not carpet bombing the forum with unintelligent drivel.  He's adding content to the forum!  It just seems silly to call a guy out for posting too much.  Am I asking for too much?

I think I'm going to lead an internet revolution against emoticons. Who's with me?

There's such a difference between a passing facial gesture in person and the emoticon that hangs there forever. To a lot of people, emoticons seem to be overkill. Reluctantly some people use the single text emoticon to mean "this is actually tongue in cheek [implied: you dimwit]," and no other emoticon.

I suppose that's better than the inexplicable and obnoxious shift from using "LOL" for "Hey, what you just said was pretty funny, I'm laughing" to using "LOL" for "Hey, I believe that what I'm saying now is really funny, so laugh, dammit."

I swear, when I click on jeh's post there are no emoticons.  If I'm the one that made the mistake, I apologize.  :`(
