McKee Named ECACHL Goalie of the Week, Pegoraro on Honor Roll

Cornell sophomore David McKee (Irving, Texas) has been named ECAC Hockey League Goalie of the Week in an announcement made by the league office on Monday. Junior forward Daniel Pegoraro (Toronto, Ont.) was also recognized with a spot on the league's weekly honor roll.

McKee posted his second 2-0-0 weekend of the season with wins over Harvard and Brown at Lynah Rink. The 2-0 win over Harvard marked McKee's first shutout of the season and sixth of his career. He posted 17 saves in that game and followed with 23 more on Saturday night in a 7-2 victory over Brown. For the week, McKee stopped 40-of-42 shots (.952).

On the season, McKee leads the league with a 1.04 goals against average and a save percentage of .946. Those marks are good for second and fourth in the nation, respectively.

McKee, who played junior hockey for the Texas Tornado of the NAHL, is enrolled in Cornell's School of Hotel Administration as a hotel administration major. He is the son of Carl and Patricia McKee.

Pegoraro netted the game-winning goal in the sixth minute of the second period on Saturday against Brown. He was also credited with an assist on the first of the Big Red's seven goals in the game, which extended his assists and points-scored streaks to three contests. Pegoraro assisted on a power-play goal on Friday against Harvard.

Before coming to Cornell, Pegoraro played at St. Michael's College School in Toronto. He is currently enrolled in Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as an applied economics and management major. He is the son of Ivan and Rina Pegoraro.
