Anyone know the status of Byron Bitz?
Who sits when he returns?
Pegoraro? McCutcheon? Varteressian?
anyone? ::help::
He was still limping noticeably this weekend, but at least is off crutches. If someone had any real information, I'm sure they would have posted it.
To speak in Jerseygirl code:
A friend of mine had lunch with "the best beer to have" the other day. He mentioned that he figured that a 19th century poet might be having some sort of a revivial in about a week. He also mentioned that he was quite pleased with the play of a certain diminuative man from Britain.
You are quite good at this. She should be flattered.
A thing of beauty, BCrespi, a thing of beauty.
Sweet!
Thanx! ::nut::
Meanwhile, a minor Massachusetts clergyman, dead since 1638, still sucks.
That last one took me a while (I knew who you meant but I couldn't figure out why). For those still struggling (probably noone), he is from the north of Britain.
For those who need a clue and go down the roster, two-thirds the team sounds as if hails from the UK. Not many Fumios or Ugolinis left.

Well in size and spirit, Ryan Vesce and now perhaps Topher Scott fit the mold. Let's hope they crack the books a bit more than Fumio. Imagine how great Ugolini would have been if he'd actually gotten along with Dick Bertrand -- and he was pretty darn good with what, 69 points his last year, 1973.

"Notes: Schafer said that sophomore Byron Bitz, who has been recovering from a broken heel, is still two or three weeks away from playing and will not be in the lineup this weekend."
Oh well, so much for lunch-dates with the coach. I suppose I'll have to be more discriminating on my info from now on...
Well, he's not limping any more :-)
From today's (11/12/04) Ithaca Journal: "Byron Bitz, who has yet to play this year due to injury, will travel with the team this weekend and may see action ... "

I was pretty sure I was him on campus last night.

Wow. Was that some freaky outer-body experience or something?

No wonder Ari's weekly columns show such insight. ::nut::

"Being Byron Bitz"
yo ari, lay off the sauce bud ... ::screwy::
I just realized what this was all about. I meant I SAW him on campus last night, meaning I don't think he was on the road trip.

So is the little door in the skate shop or the hockey office?

Well, if he's in Ithaca, he may see action tonight....
*rimshot*
He's in East Lansing.
BTW, Bitz was definitely in East Lansing and played on Sunday. He didn't particularly stand out to my eye, but he seemed to be skating without any problems.
He almost scored on a 2-on-1 according to the radiocast.
I thought he looked like he wasn't 100%. There were a couple of spots where he seemed not as strong on his feet as I remember from last year, which certainly seems reasonable for somebody recovering from a foot injury.

Bitz will improve, though it may take a few weeks. I expect he'll be in much better condition by the Lynah East game.
