Jerseygirl needs a ride to Ithaca from the Hoboken/NYC area on Friday, October 15th. See, I have lots of friends who could theoretically drive me, but they do not live in the New York metro area. The ones who do live here do not have cars. Here's the thing: I just started (or will start) a new job tomorrow (!) and can't very well leave work early my second week in. So, if anyone is leaving after 5:30 on that Friday and has an extra seat in their car, I would be forever grateful and happy to pay for gas and snackies. I'm not even that concerned about the ride back, but I can help you out with that too. I can tell stories or keep my yap shut -- whatever you want. I won't embarrass you by waving my foam Big Red bear paw out the window as we drive up Route 17. Please post here or private message me if you can help me out, so my little heart doesn't break for lack of a ride. Thanks.
Might I suggest investigating the follow websites? One is the Alumni Ride Board, the other is the Student Ride Board.

Thanks -- I had checked them out, but no luck yet. Just trying to cover all bases before people's cars get filled up.
You might also want to try Craigslist. There are often people offering/looking for rides to Ithaca.
Oh, I have been unemployed for the past 4 months, so I know alllllllll about craigslist...I figured I would start posting there next week, seeing as how the rides posted there are for the 8th at the latest. Thanks for the suggestion though.
(I know I don't need to keep responding to people's posts, but I don't want people to get the idea that I am lazy and/or stupid and expect the Faithful to haul my butt up to Ithaca because I can't be bothered to look elsewhere. And I do truly appreciate people's suggestions.)
Bend over, jersey girl, I will drive you home! B-]

What are we looking at here? You want bestiality subscriptions, chain letters promising cash, or even worse, email updates from the Harvard Crimson?
JG, I'd offer you a ride from New York, but my plans are so far up in the air, they were considered for the X prize.

Very tasteful. Harvard fans should throw fish at you.
