These polls are useless.  I don't mind the team polls so much, but really, what is the point of a preseason All-League Team?

Noah Welch is a hack.

All I'll say is I'd take Cavanagh over Jessiman any day.

Al,

We agree...actually, there are a lot of forwards I'd take over Jessiman.

Saw him twice, or at least  I looked for him  in both games in Albany.  He was a no show.

Personally, and not 100% objectively...:-D , I'd take Blight or Faulkner from Tech on the first team.  But really, as posted above...who needs a pre-season ALL league team?

Haven't watched either Blight or Faulkner closely enough to comment, Rich.  Certainly was impressed with Clarkson's team in the ECACs last year.  Surely agree on pre-season all-league teams.

Useless? In five hours since this thread was posted, 127 people have looked at it. It's building pre-season publicity.

Anyone remember the pre-season player poll of a year ago? Anyone care at this point? But it filled in the dead time in the months before the first puck drops.

Preseason All-League teams are exactly as useful as preseason team polls.  Or in season polls.  Which is to say not useful at all.  But it's part of the fun anyway.

If nothing else, it does point out the opposing players you should be looking for if you've been out of the loop for a while.

Apparently the coaches have learned their lesson; copy-cats: http://www.tbrw.info/2005/polls/2005_preseason.html
