They list four players from Union as having left the team.  Anyone think this means anything?

Their stats:

Campbell, 35 GP, 0-10-10
Roth, 281 Mins, .885, 3.41
Seel, 31 GP 1-2-3
Williams, 15 GP, 1-5-6

So, while not stars, they were not trivial contributors.  It probably doesn't indicate anything important, but... it aint good.

Good.  Get rid of them and give Cornell more OOC games.

Union               Bryan Campbell   So.    left team to concentrate on academics
Union               Tim Roth         So.    left team
Union               Max Seel         Jr.    left team to concentrate on academics
Union               Brent Williams   Jr.    left team

"Left team to concentrate academics" could be a euphemism for "had to leave team because of academics." Or it could mean "didn't like the coach and tried to make it an amicable departure." Four players leaving the team for non-academic, non-professional reasons could be troubling.

Again (this was part of the Who's Joining the ECAC thread), what is Union's long term commitment to D1 hockey? The college president was a Rock of Jello when it came to voting to allow small schools like Union or Hopkins to play up in a special sport.

Keep in mind that Union changed coaches a year ago.  The guys who quit were recruited by Kevin Sneddon.  So this may be a case of players not seeing eye to eye with a new coach and system.  I don't think this tells us anything more than that.

Actually, current coach Leaman may have been an assistant under Sneddon - can't remember and can't find anything quickly to confirm or deny.  But the point still holds.

he was an assistant at harvard, as far as I can remember.
