The game has been moved to Saturday to avoid a conflict with Hobart commencement.

Any chance Cornell will cover the $2 student ticket price to let students see the game for free? I'm not holding my breath, but it would be a nice gesture.
Free internet radiocast at:

It would be a great gesture if the athletic department made admission free for the games, but they might not be able to because the NCAA probably has their fingers in the pie.
hmm maybe i can go now!
sweet.

Well, then the request becomes simply asking the atheltic department to bake the pie for the NCAA, rather than having the students do it.
Either way, $2 seems quite reasonable.
Seems cheap in a bad way. I think the athletic department could spare $2 for every undergraduate student that comes to the game - makes a great study break in the middle of exams and in my recent day, other organizations would host free study breaks. On the other hand, no one is probably going to make the decision to come to the game or not because of $2. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah, free would be nicer, but if you can't afford two bucks to see a lacrosse game ...
I mean what does a joint cost these days in Ithaca? A glass of beer?

Sheesh! (I was free Sunday but not Saturday.) Hobart only has four seniors. So commencement affects, what, maybe two of them? Plus some of their friends?
Is here:http://www.ncaasports.com/broadcast/mlacrosse
To date I'm aware of no first-round telecasts, although someone somewhere posted that the UNC-OSU game would be on CSTV.

That's a link to the audio posted already, but also a livestats that refreshes every 20 seconds.
A couple of us in the chat so far.
Scoreless in the 1st; lightning delay until at least 14:30 EDT. 7:17 played.
John - I'll let this thread go as the game thread and keep other games updated on the other thread.
Game's back on. Anyone know the score? Still 0-0?
Just announced - 1-0 Cornell.
Cornell misses just wide at the end of the first quarter.
1-0 CU after 1
After about a 45-minute delay, Cornell up 1-0 after 1.
1-0 Red, end of 1.
1-1
2-1 Cornell, late 2nd.
3-1 Cornell, about 6:00 to go in 2nd.
3-2.
4-2 Cornell on goal by Valente.

I think Valente is the Hobart goalie, Greg. Maybe we've co-opted him.;-)
Cornell playing well according to announcers.
Oops.
It was Boulukos with that goal, his second.
Sounds like we're still prone to throwing the ball away.
Just killed a PP, we went up 5-2 on a goal from Reardon a few minutes ago.
And as I was typing, Redd put Cornell up 6-2.
5:57 to go in third.
Boulukus hat trick.
Great third period for McMonagle: 5 saves, no goals.
Cornell continuing to put a lot of pressure on Valente.
13:00 to go.
Rosenberger. Cornell capitalizes on a mistake.
Williamson ends the run at 5 Cornell goals. 11:20 to go.
Rosenberger again. 10:22 to go.
Another quick Statesman goal, 10:00 to go.
Riordan's 2nd. 9:29 to go.
Reardon scores!
4 goals in 1:01.
8:03 to go.
Man up goal for Cornell, about 6:30 to go.
5:17 to go.
3:00 to go.
1:35 to go.
Hey Mr. Timekeeper, how much time left?!
:30 to go. Cornell controlling the play.
Terrific game by McMonagle in particular (14 saves, 5 goals) and the team overall. Hobart held Navy to a 9-8 win two weeks ago.
NCAA QF opponent will be the winner of tomorrow's Navy-Penn game.

That game should be available live tomorrow at noon at www.wnav.com
Cornell has weathered cold, extremely dense fog, an extreme thunderstorm and an emotional time period this season and is still standing. Very proud of our team.
Those in the Boston area, since NESN is showing the game on a 30-hour tape delay, I'll be working to see if we can get the game off of the satellite from another regional network and will announce the establishment to watch the quarterfinal game for next Sunday.

The Empire Sports Network schedule has both Ithaca games being shown live (noon and three). Fox Sports New York schedule has the "third quarterfinal" at 9am and the "fourth quarterfinal" at noon. Doesn't make any sense to me. Both channels should be available on DirecTV.
Thoughtful article on Saturday's game:
