The Hockey News Apr. 20 edition had an article on Matt Moulson for their weekly ECAC report. Since it doesn't appear to be on their web edition, here's what it said
[Q] Moulson misses all-ECAC team despite output
by Tom Boggie
Coaches around the league better hope Matt Moulson doesn't carry a grudge. The sophomore left winger at Cornell earned only honorable mention status when the all-ECAC team was selected in March. He led the Big Red in scoring with 18 goals and 35 points in 32 games, including four game-winners.
"Look at the top scorers in the league and a lot of their points come on the power play," said Cornell coach Mike Schafer. "A lot of Matt's are at even strength. That shows what a great all around player he is."
Moulson, who was drafted 263rd by Pittsburgh in 2003, isn't just a threat on offense. He plays both ends of the ice equally well.
"We never thought he'd became such a well-rounded player so quickly," said Schafer of the 6-foot-1, 205-pounder. "We expected him to score goals. But we didn't expect him to have such a physical presence. When a guy can score like Matt can, you usually have to work with him on the defensive part of his game, but Matt picked that up very quickly."
Moulson has scored 58 points on 65 games over two seasons. [/Q]
