Hey, I'm surprised this wasn't posted before.  Who are the captains for next year?

And for the people here who don't know, how about a more detailed explanation of what each award means?

Rich
The captains were not released last night, if they had been I would have
posted them. I didn't have time earlier to post any more as I thought
most people knew what the awards were.

Joe DeLibero-Stan Tsapis: Player who most nearly exemplifies the skilled
efficiency, unselfish dedication, & hard-nosed competitive application that
distinguishes him as representative of DeLiero's & Tsapis' uniqueness.

Cornell Hockey Association: Contributions not apparent in the box scores

Sam Woodside: Senior most improved in overall playing ability & has exhibited
team leadership with his play during his career

Mark Weiss: player who most exemplified from his rookie year through his
senior year the same kind of determination and passion that Mark Weiss
had for life & the sport of hockey

Ironman: Player who in spite of being bruised, boken, spliced, or otherwise
hurt, most demonstrted the will & determination to overcome his injuries &
contribute to the team

Crimson Cup: Most outstanding player during Harvard series

Greg Ratushny: Freshman player who best exhibits enthusiasm for the team
& Cornell

Nicky Bawlf: MVP

All of the awards are voted on by the team

You have to figure (or, at least, guess) that, since the team votes for the awards, and since the Joe DeLibero-Stan Tsapis award went to Knoepfli, he might get voted the captain as well, since the description of that particular award seems very captain-like:

[Q]Joe DeLibero-Stan Tsapis: Player who most nearly exemplifies the skilled
efficiency, unselfish dedication, & hard-nosed competitive application that
distinguishes him as reresentative of DeLiero's & Tsapis' uniqueness.[/Q]

So is Pajerski transferring to another d-1 school or going to d-3?

It was my understanding that Jan is not returning to the team, but will still be at Cornell next year.

Which might make the most sense considering they gave him his jersey framed...

Besides, wouldn't transferring mean he would be ineligible to play next year anyway ?(as he will be a senior...)
