Title: Parise Signs With Devils

There goes UND's contender status for next year.  Look for Parise to be with the Devils this week.

:-P Contender or pretender??? :-P Lately they light it up during the year and fail to get anything going in the
NCAA's (at least since the BC loss a few years back).

According to the posters on USCHO, drafted players (which Parise was, of course) are eligible to play in the post season, but recent free-agent signees are not.

The team can draft you without your permission; no action required on the player's part. But signing, well, you're coming to an agreement to be a professional athlete. So you wait until the college season's over if you're planning to sign.

 [/Q]I'm pretty sure the question was about the NHL playoffs. Parise doesn't have to worry about the NCAA's anymore.
