Yuck. Not one game this tournament has had the outcome I wanted. :-(
ya gotta say that out of the lower seeds hahvahd made the best showing, and holy cross made a better showing than some of the other schools. interesting... ::nut::
... or do we have a couple of damn good Regional Final matchups on tap this afternoon?
BC-Michigan in a matchup of big-name schools which also happen to be big-time hockey programs; Michigan always does well in the regionals, and BC is looking to play for the national title at home.
UMD-UMTC for the umpteenth time this season and the highest stakes of all. Duluth swept the season series, but lost in the Final Five. Minnesota is looking for the (ugh) Three-peat, UMD is looking for only their third Frozen Four appearance ever.
So I was thinking, as I occasionally do........next year, USCHO or INCH should have a thing where people can fill out a bracket of what they think will happen in the tournament, similar to a bracket pool that espn.com and other websites do for the NCAA basketball tournament, except for the hockey bracket, we would have to guess the scores of the games as well. I think it would be fun.

There's been one on HOCKEY-L for a while. I suspect USCHO has a enough overhead to worry about this time of year without also managing a fan pool.
I think there was a site that was put up last offseason called puckguru.com that seemed to be focused on fan predictions. I went there once, and now it seems to not be up.
[Q]Michigan always does well in the regionals,...[/Q]
Isn't that because they always play at home (or at least they seem to)?
Well they weren't home (or close to it this year) and look where they're going ... ;-)
We have to pull for the HE side of the FF b/c hearing the western ppl talk their crap just makes me sick ::yark::

No, we have to pull for Jimmy Howard to give up two or three goals (depending on how many games Maine lasts). And since Denver and Duluth haven't been in the F4 for a long time, I'm happy to pull for them to beat either the University of Cheaters or the Boys Club. (But then I feel no regional loyalty towards the ECAC defectors.)
My dislike for HE doesn't run quite so deep (I was like 3-4 at the time). I agree we need Howard to get lit up like a tree ... so if i have to chose, i'm going with BC b/c Chris Collins went to my high school and the little Gionta is another a Rochester product.
boys club or not we could pull for them in the semi's and against in the final ... :-)

You get my vote, Ben. ;-)
