See http://www.pressconnects.com/today/topstories/stories/to032304s76716.shtml
for a very nice article about Grady and his love of hockey.
He was such an awesome announcer...its too bad he left us, although I think Adam is excellent also.
Grady really was a professional. I recall him mentioning that he would do everything in his power before a game to get the correct pronunciation of every player's name. If I recall correctly, he would sometimes simply ask the player how he pronounces his name. That's attention to detail that is seldom found. It's no wonder that he's seen such success as an announcer.
In my mind, I always think that Grady is still a closet Cornell hockey fan, staying abreast of how the Red is doing. I know last year, he popped in with a comment or two about our Frozen Four bound team.
I was surprised even though I knew that he was doing bsens hockey to hear him on the radio when I was looking for the news. It was a nice surprise! Grady rocks. I have to say also that Adam has been wonderful in place of Grady
