It's senior night, LGR!
New thread, the old one was o.b.e.
Post Edited (02-28-04 21:35)
Colgate has tied SLU 1-1, Harvard leads Dartmouth 3-0.
Brown taking it all out on UVM, 5-0.
Union 1 Princeton 1, and not one person cares. Not even Hockey Mom.
In our game... Clarkson with a PP with about 8 minutes left in the 2nd.
1-1 on the Clarkson ppg.
Wallace draws the penalty, Cornell going on pp.
Post Edited (02-28-04 20:33)
This Clarkson announcer is going to have a heart attack. Sounds like we missed a big chance on the PP so far.
I heard the whistle, didn't you guys? B-]
LOL.
First Vesce missed an open net.
Next, a Clarkson shg was waved off because of a quick whistle.
Loud and clear over his screaming!
Colgate up 2-1 now.
Sorry if I missed this earlier. If Dartmouth loses, we get a bye, right? The other scores aren't going our way now. Ugh.

I don't think so. We need at least a tie or win with the way things are now.
Yikes, now I really have to listen to the game and serve the scores on USCHO.
Jeff, do you have a link for the Clarkson webcast?

Thanks, Dan. I was playing on USCHO.
JH
With Brown and RPI way ahead, we must at least tie to get a bye.

Well, 2nd period is over. Cornell has completely dominated every aspect of this game except for the scoreboard -- even moreso than the SLU game. It is great to see them playing so well, but I really hope they can break through on Traylen who is having a career night.
in the 3rd:
4-0 Harvard over Dartmouth
5-0 RPI over Yale
Post Edited (02-28-04 20:49)
thanks ... unfortunately the link won't open for me so you guys will just have to keep on keeping on with the updates :-}
Union 1, Prin 1 end 2
Colg 2, SLU 1 end 2
RPI 5, Yale 0 3rd
Cornell 1, Clarkson 1, end 2nd
Harv 4, Dart 0, 3rd
Brown 5, UVM 0 end 2

It's a webpage that contains another link to audio. I'm pretty sure the audio requires Realplayer. You got that?

A 3-way tie between Dartmouth, RPI, and Cornell gives Dartmouth 3rd and RPI 4th, because it looks like SLU is going to finish out of the top 8.
Post Edited (02-28-04 20:53)
If we nose out Dartmouth, here's a kiss for Sieve-Sieve. Dartmouth outshooting Harvard 33-19, but it's 4-0 Harvard.
Post Edited (02-28-04 20:54)
yup, got it ... tried to open the link with Real, Quicktime, and Media player ::screwy::
Just read on USCHO. RPI 5, Yale 0. The RPI band is playing the theme from "Hawaii Five-o" :-D
JH
Bad situation at Brown tonight. A player was cut on the arm badly enough to go into surgery.
No offense to you guys, but I think I have to be a Clarkson fan at this point. I'd love to see a Dartmouth-Harvard QF series even though we'd probably lose, and that can only happen if Dartmouth finishes 3rd, cause I don't see Princeton upending whoever finishes 5th.
But that would be an absolutely brutal series, and the crowd would be absolutely nuts all weekend.
Who says our league is close?
Entering the third, we are one Clarkson goal out of 5th place, and one Cornell goal and two SLU goals out of 1st place.
Greg, was it a Brown player? I'm supposed to give updates to a Brown friend who's out to dinner.
It was a Vermont player - Flemenella. Apparantly stepped on by a skate.
Thanks, Ken.
I've never rooted for a Cornell tie before this evening. Bizarre.
Nice save by McKee after a CU defensive mix-up.
Now Colgate 3-1 over SLUt
16 minutes to go. 1-1
I'll accept a tie. I want the win.
Go Red!
Here are the outcomes (AFAIK) assuming RPI and Brown win and Dartmouth loses.
Cornell Win:
Colgate loss: 1
Colgate tie or win: 2
Cornell Tie: 3
Cornell Loss: 5
Brown now up 6-0; Colgate up 3-1.
RPI up 6-0 also.

God damned Yale!!!!
Clarkson going on pp.
The shots-on-goal don't tell the whole story of how well Cornell is playing. Several "just wide" non-SOGs.
This is the 3rd game I've watched (online) this year. Definitely the best I've seen. They're hitting well, passing well. Just not showing it on the scoreboard.
If Dartmouth loses, we tie Brown for the Ivy title, correct??
Big Red back to full strength.
PP!!!!:-D
Cornell kills it off and now will go on pp.
Yes, if Dartmouth loses we share the Ivy title with Bruno.
Post Edited (02-28-04 21:18)
Aaaaaah, see ya, asshole, you goon!
Big Red go to the PP.
If Dartmouth loses, we share the Ivy title with Brom. If they tie, it's a 3-way title share.
If they miraculously come back and win the game, they win the title outright.
SCORE!!!!
Post Edited (02-28-04 21:19)
Gotta agree with you on that one Ken.
Scary. Not sure I've ever uttered that sentence before...

And a penalty on Traylen for unsportsmanlike!
Never mind. no penalty on Traylen
Pass interference? I don't think that's a hockey penalty. Football anyone?
time remaining?
Chris, I LOL too! Maybe Clarkson will try a field goal for the lead???
Ivy co-champs....Ivy co-champs....Ivy co-champs
Now back to this game!
FWIW Union 2, Princeton 2 into OT.

Clarkson announcers still bitching about interference.

Can someone give me the goal scorers please?

Wow, I remember senior night (23 years ago). Yikes.
What exactly is I2sports?

No offense, Lisa, but since this is the second night in a row that the Cornell play-by-play man was identified as Adam "Wooden," and it sounds (unintentionally, I'm sure) like an inaccurate commentary on his broadcasting style ...
His name is Adam
Wodon.
