ESPN's Page 2 today had a list of the greatest undefeated teams in history. While I'm not expecting the 1970 Cornell hockey team to land at number one, come on, not even an honorable mention? That's the only unbeaten, untied team in NCAA hockey history! Maybe it's just as well. They probably would have given Ken Dryden credit as being the goalie on that team.

Including the 1970 Big Red would have required research. They probably got "votes" by polling the writers and I can't say that I'm surprised that none of them knew or remembered a college hockey team.
Actually, I work in the ESPN research department. Sometimes we get emails asking for input in these types of things...but unfortunately not this time. Besides, UNC women's soccer got a pair of mentions.

UNC was much more recent (
Mia Hamm and last year's team) and was probably nominated by Stuart Scott. ;-)
Stuart Scott is the biggest facetimer in the world. He aggravates me more than say Greg Berge '85. I think he'd fit right in on this board though.

Didn't he play for Colgate?

I'm glad UCONN women's basketball got mentioned... I remember being in high school when they were only the second undefeated team in women's bball history... That was the year Jen Rizzoti (sp?) made the cover of SI.(edit: asked a question and answered it myself)
