Title: Jan Gets a Game
Post by: JDeafvCornell on January 30, 2004, 07:08:06 PM
Congrats to Jan Pajerski for getting into the lineup tonight for the first time in his 3 years at Cornell.

He's a nice guy and I'm glad he gets a shot after practicing and working hard with the team for 2 1/2 years.

LGR!

Sorry for the serious post, but Jan has got heart.

He was put back in at the end of the game to fight, and was responsible for the big melee that got Silverthorn suspended for tomorrow's game.

I'll take him off my facetimer list.

Was Jan in tonight for Abbott?

Jan's a defenseman; he was actually in for Cook tonight.  Varteressian was in for Cam Abbott, though he didn't play on the same line as Chris and Hornby.

way to go Jan. Glad that coach rewarded his hard work with a likely well-deserved start.

I can't believe the biggest facetimer of them all missed something. Don't worry we all still think your cool, and you're doing a good job fitting in. Continue to be a facetimer.

Such a lovely place..........................

Even though Jan started, I don't think he played more then 3 shifts. He was on the ice for the first 15 seconds or so and for the last 20 seconds and possibly a little time in between. Other than that, Schafer rotated 5 defensemen. I'm not sure why Jan didn't really play in the game even though he started.

Did anyone else notice the fact that he hardly played?

If you're right Avash, then I think there's a simple explanation.  Jan still hasn't developed enough to crack the lineup.  But Schafer wanted to reward him for his hard work in practice for a couple of years.  So rather than dress five D-men he let Pajerski go out and be introduced as a starter, even if he wasn't really going to play much.
