Title: Jersey washing
Post by: Section A on January 07, 2004, 01:08:15 PM
I know there was a thread about this in the past, but I don't think there was a consensus on how to go about washing a jersey that had sharpe-autographs on it. I want to wash mine and make sure that there won't be any problems. Any suggestions?

Thanks :-D

Try handwashing with woolite, maybe?  That stuff's generally good for delicate clothing.

As long as it was truly a permanent Sharpie marker, your autograph should tolerate the occasional cold water machine wash.  Crodge2k and I have decided to wash our signed jerseys once a season and last year they did fine.  I was scared when I pulled them out of the machine though!

Just make sure to wait until AFTER the Harvard game - we all know what happened when there was a mass washing/dry cleaning before the Frozen Four.

You know, if you're the superstitious type.
