Title: Watching Hahvahd Sucks in Baltimore/D.C.
Post by: KateThe15Fan on January 04, 2004, 12:26:18 PM
Anyone interested in getting together this Friday to watch us play Hahvahd Sucks in the Baltimore/D.C. area?  Jon and I are trying to get a group together.  We're also looking for ideas on places to go that will have DirectTV and will be willing to give up a screen.

The Crystal City Sports Pub has a lot of screens. Im sure you can get at least one to have the game on. Just sit in a group and ask a waitress nicely. They have a fair amount of those widescreen plasmas too so its pretty cool. the only problem would be if they have some special event going on.

I watched the Cornell-UNH game there last year

cornell club of washington generally organizes a place to watch. last newsletter said to check the website but there's nothing there

ccw.alumni.cornell.edu

cornell/yale last year was watched at crystal city sports pub. they also had a few games at one of the hotel bars somewhere downtown...

The hotel downtown was the Capitol Hill Hilton.  Nice digs and decent food.  Also generally better for Friday night games, since a lot of alums work in the city and it's easier to get to by game time.

Thanks for the info.  Any specifics we would need to know about the CCW event? (if those would be currently available)

Sounds good.  I watched all the postseason games there last year.  It was a great place to watch.

Looks great!  We and a few others will certainly be there.   Thanks for organizing and spreading the word.  Being new to the area, we're looking forward to meeting some new Lynah Faithful.

Let's Go Red!

Thanks for the info!  I'll just be getting into town that morning/afternoon, but will try my best to make it, and I let some other CU alum friends know too.

LGR!
