Title: Suggestion
Post by: RedAR on December 17, 2003, 07:04:14 PM
Age,

Is there any way to implement an ignore function on this site?  I think it may be very useful.

Not in this verssion. When I upgrade, I think you'll be able to. Of course there's nothing stopping him from making another user name. Whatever.

I don't know how exclusive you want this message board to be, but you can always require a free registration to get a username, requiring a valid e-mail address, and then only allow people with usernames to post. Can you implement something like that with the current/upgraded forum software?

Dave.. like you said.. This would make Elynah kinda exclusive. Sure, people who've been around would sign up for it. But it'd kinda discourage new faithful from joining.. possibly just due to the hassle and nothing more. What's gonna stop what's his face from getting another email address anyway? Some things will just have to run their full course imho.

I still say an ignore list is effective.  If he changes his handle, then so be it, we can always add handles to our ignore list.  He obviously gets off on the "attention" that he so desparately wants.
