Snow will develop this afternoon and could become heavy at times tonight and Saturday, with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches are possible by late Saturday afternoon. The snow will diminish to snow showers Saturday evening.
A Winter Storm Watch is issued when severe winter weather is possible, but not imminent. At the time, there is a potential for significant snow and/or ice accumulations. Future driving and walking conditions may become hazardous, so it is important to monitor the latest forecasts.
