Wow...who would've thought that, of the four teams in the Everblades Tournament, we'd be the bottom feeders? ::nut::

Everyone who thinks we're doing as well or better than can possibly be expected. ::rolleyes::
How long has it been since the last time we weren't ranked? Since the middle of the 2001-02 season?

I'm gonna worry about Brown and Harvard first... then get on to the tournament. ::uhoh::
all you guys are getting depressed over these polls...why? The polls mean nothing. No were not the team we were last year and we probly have no chance at an at large bid. We got to worry about winning our conference and it starts this weekend with brown and harvard. If we get out of this weekend with two wins...we roll from there.

11/5/01 they were out of the top 15 in the USCHO. They remained ranked in both polls from then until 11/3/03 when they were unranked in the USA Today (I assume they were in the "mentioned," but I don't have the vote count).

No matter how good the team is, we always seem to the bottom feeders in Florida. I believe we are are a combined 1-5 in our three appearances down there. ::rolleyes::

You have a point that I shouldn't be looking too far ahead just yet, but the polls alerted me to a startling fact--Notre Dame is 8-3-2. Their record includes at least two things we haven't been able to do yet--win over Ohio State and Bowling Green (though they split weekend series with each). They also have a weekend series with Western Michigan this weekend, and I'm fairly sure they'll take at least two points. I don't know when Notre Dame started to make a splash, but now we can't underestimate them. Not that we should underestimate any team, really, but Cornell probably won't be predicted to win anything at Everblades now. :-(
Frankly, I'm surprised it took us this long to drop out of the top 15. We aren't exactly ringing up the wins.
i expected cornell to drop out of the top 15 last week. forget the polls, though, and get some wins, especially this weekend :-D
We're in good company. Everybody's pick for a three-peat Minnesota is below us.
But while we're starting to get less votes, Minnesota is starting to get more. I watched their two games on the satellite against Michigan State and Michigan over the weekend (both road games), and they looked really impressive, and nothing at all like what people had been saying about them going into the weekend.
Anyhow, I personally don't care that we're not ranked. All I care about is that we've gotten 7 out of 8 possible ECAC points so far (Harvard, by comparison, has picked up 7 out of 14 with losses to Brown, Princeton, and Clarkson and a tie with Dartmouth) and we're looking to get 4 more this weekend. Hopefully we can get this tough stretch of games (#12 brown, harvard, #14 notre dame, #3 maine/#6 osu, harvard, #12 brown) off to a good start.
I can't recall a season without one NC RS game after New Year's Day. Not even during the 25 game limit years.
For all that, I like front-loading the season with NC games, especially with this (young) team. Helps Mike figure out what he's got out there with a minimum of damage to the league record.

Um, how about last season? Or the season before that? ::nut::
Good god, this must be that "second childhood" I've heard so much about.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.

Well, they do say that the memory's the second thing to go.
