Greetings, friends, from a BGSU alumnus and fan.
I wish to extend my congratulation to a very well played match between our two teams. I'm not one for kissing my cousin, but I will accept a tie with your fine squad.
I'm not sure of our team's activity of "aiming for knees", but I wouldn't be surprised knowing that we are fairly yound and we play in the same league as The Poisonous Nuts, The Small and Ill Tempered Woodland Creatures, and those horrible Green Clad Thugs (MSU).
I also wish to extend a sincere thank you for having me on this board. Very rarely does one find a forum of such insight, knowledge, wit and common decency as I have witnessed during my brief time here. The writing is clear, concise, without a hint of those idiotic "Rome-isms." Jim Rome is to the spoken tongue as the atomic bomb was to Japanese architecture.
Again, thank you. Best of luck the rest of the season to the Big Red and best of health and wealth to you and yours.
Regards,
Mark
Mark,
Thanks for the kind words. After tonight's results, I sincerely hope Bowling Green can beat Ohio State in their coming games this season. :-D
I hope that as well. I also wish for the ground to open and swallow the entire city of Columbus into a bottomless chasm.
*sigh* Hope springs eternal.
Post Script: I am an outcast here in the state of Ohio. I do not put the value of this state and its population on the won/lost record of THE Ohio Agrigulture & Machine University's sports teams. When asked if I thought tOAMU would win against Michigan today I replied, "I could not care less." Then blank and unbelieving stares were priceless.
Post Script prime: I meant to spell "young" with a letter 'G' at the end. I apologize. I had a momentary lapse.

Extra props for getting the expression right. :-D
I thought the Bowling Green team was pretty classy and especially loved their goalie. Good luck this year and I hope you guys can get back to your early-80s form!
Cheers,
Mike
JTW, I know right!! I hate when people say, "I COULD care less". I mean what is that supposed to mean?!!
Yeah, Mark, that was really kind. :-)
I'm glad that not all non-Cornell fans aren't as awful as Ohio State's... ::twitch::
Oh dear. You folks are going to get me started, aren't you?
Pet peeves:
"A Lot" is TWO WORDS. (and the liberal use of the Caps Lock button)
People who utter "I seen" instead of "I saw." (This one is particularly irritating here in Ohio.)
"Attorney Generals" instead of the correct Attorneys General. I never knew lawyers could sport rank!
Sorry, there is some guilt even here. The utilization of multiple and sequential punctuation. One exclamation mark is enough to make an emphatic point known.
I just thought I would share.:-D
Looks ilke you'll fit in fine around here, rightinupthere...
which, to get technical, should be "right in up there"... spaces isn't a pet peeve though, huh? ;-)
I have the luxury of being immune to my own criticism. It is very helpful to have a rather robust ego. :-D
Be peaceful friends, I will no longer pollute your fine board with my pap.
I shall wish to come back from time to time. The presence of wit is something which is endearing to such a cad as myself.

In my opinion, you're not polluting our board. We've had "bad" fans of other teams posting here before. Trust me--you are certainly on the nicer side of opposing teams' fans.
Speaking of spaces, I have often wondered why they can't make web addresses disregard spaces. I'm sure there is a good technical reason, but it would make it easier if you didn't have to remember those - or _ or just type the whole name as if it was oneword (intentional).
