...that I really don't want to give up, but due to bad scheduling a cousin (a very favorite cousin mind you) has decided to have his wedding in Philadelphia at 3pm on Dec. 6. I don't know who gets married in the middle of the winter let alone on the day that Cornell plays Harvard at home. Obviously not a Cornell alum. Anyways, the point of the matter is, I was thinking that instead of selling the tickets for some exorbitant price, I could have some fun with it. Maybe I could have everyone who wants them write a 500 word essay on why they should get the tickets, like they had kids do for Bill Cosby tickets. Or maybe you have a better idea.
This will be the first home Cornell game I have ever missed since I came to Cornell four years ago, so I want something good in return. Let me know of good ideas. I also am looking for tickets for the away Brown and Harvard games, as a way to make up for missing the home game.
Thanks!
Nate
btw...regardless of how good Princeton and Yale are, it seems that our team has come together quite nicely since last week. Vesce with 7 points in one night is impressive!
Damn, I thought the thread title meant you were giving away/selling two tickets to the game at Lynah East. Nuts. But the method you're using to give these tickets away is pretty cool. You should post the winning entry. :-D
My mother seems to think that you should give them to the longest-time Cornell hockey fan, one who cheered on Dryden at the 1968 NCAA games at Duluth, and yet one who has somehow managed never to see a Harvard home game. Oh, and one whose sister lives in Auburn and knows you... ;)
Definitely give it to a Faithful who has season tickets in past years but was screwed by the stupid ticket line rules that were enforced but not actually enforced and therefore have do not have season tickets for their final year in Ithaca and their LAST chance to see Cornell play Harvard at home.
...just a suggestion!
Or you could just give the tickets to me, and I'll just gouge whoever I end up selling them to. :-P Just kidding, all.
One thing I would be willing to do is trade these tickets for tickets to the Cornell game at Harvard (and maybe Brown). I think that is a pretty fair trade. Two tickets to the biggest game of the year at Cornell for two tickets at Harvard and Brown.

I plan on getting bonus points by writing my essay on the back of a $100 bill (with apologies to Tom and Ray).
Well...if you have tickets available...I would looove to do whatever it is you're proposing to get them...within reason of course. :-D I'm a die hard Cornell fan who graduated in 1999 after spending 4 years in Section B...blue line...5th row...I post here pretty regularly and my friend and I would love to go to the game. I just was at the game at Princeton and would love a chance to see them play Cornell...versus Harvard no less.
Please let me know! Thanks!
I live in Philadelphia. I'll give you my aparments for the weekend in exchange for the tickets.
nate,
where are the tickets located in lynah?
