Doubleheaders so far:

10/30-10/31: MIH vs Sacred Heart, WIH vs Union/RPI. This will be a good ice quality test.

11/20: MIH vs Clarkson, WIH vs Colgate.

1/22-1/23: MIH vs Harvard/Dartmouth, WIH vs SLU/Clarkson. (Someone should tell the athletics director to bundle WIH tix that weekend with the MIH ones, at least for students.)

That's all so far - remarkably little overlap, which is nice in some regards (the women get to play 7 pm games, less ice concerns) and not so nice in others (I fucking love a good doubleheader, few weekends where I can do things that aren't hockey... as if I do anything besides hockey and law school lmao).

Weder, can you update the original post to have the women's schedule on it?

In ancient times, the ECAC scheduled women's conference games on Saturdays and Sundays, so a very, very small handful of people could opt to spend the whole weekend at Lynah a few times a season.

Opponent's women play Sunday in Ithaca, that can be a long bus ride home (Dartmouth, Harvard, Brown). OTOH, the team doesn't miss many Friday classes. I am having a hard time remembering how many Friday classes I had, but it may be remembering how many Friday pm classes I got to. Back in the day, the Cornell Sun played some touch football games at the Yale Princeton Dartmouth etcetera papers Saturday morning and I thought that took priority.

There was a brief period when Niagara and Maine were in the ECAC women's league at the same time. Talk about a bus ride!

I think that this article and the subsequent article on then outcome of the draft bode well for hockey coverage over the next couple of years.

U-18 development camp (https://x.com/i/status/2083227499773800641) also features Cornell commit Aurora Matt.

As per Eli Kwait, the new WHockey reporter, "Cornell commit Aurora Matt is a defenseman out of Toronto that put up 31 points (10g, 21a) in 39 GP in the OWHL and added 5 assists for Canada at the U-18 WJC."

If I remember right, Grace Dwyer is on the  U.S. development camp roster. Apparently Avar and Bergmann were invited but are not attending so I hope those aren't any sort of injuries to be concerned about. Some committed players on the U-18 roster as well.

Incoming class officially announced (https://cornellbigred.com/news/2026/7/31/womens-ice-hockey-adds-nine-newcomers.aspx). Looks like the roster should be at 24 this year -- 3 G, 7 D, 14 F

Good.  Looks like we'll have a bit more depth this year.

As has been mentioned plenty, lack of depth was our Achilles heal last season.

Yep.  Hence my comment.
