Title: God bless the Seahawks
Post by: Trotsky on February 09, 2026, 01:00:41 PM
The ghosts of February 1, 2015 are quiet today.

All is right with the world.

Having grown up as a huge football fan, I'm amazed how little I care about the NFL these days.  If the Bills or Rams ever make the Super Bowl again, I'll figure out how to watch it; otherwise, meh.  (It doesn't help that I can't just turn on broadcast TV and watch any more.)

Trust, you didn't miss much, unless you enjoy watching ants die slowly and painfully of suffocation.

Tablo,  Sling TV Anywhere, Silicon Dust Homerun.

Could be trouble in a few years with DRM but are you that far from the Rochester towers that you can't set one of these up now?

(I think i only watched 3 games this year...)

Completely agree, except as a former Clevelander, I'd substitute the Browns for the Rams!

I started watching NFL football around 1957.  Twelve teams, the Cardinals were in Chicago, the Colts were in Baltimore, the Ravens were the Browns, and the peripatetic Rams were in LA the first time.  No halftime shows, although Washington had a band, no end-zone dancing, no obese linemen.  Games took under two and a half hours, start to finish.

What if I think Robert Kraft losing was good for the world, but the Seahawks are my least favorite team?

I'm sorry you're a Browns fan.

Robert Kraft losing trumps the Seahawks being your least favorite team!

I live in Rochester now, so I also root for the Bills.  They may make it in my lifetime.

You tube caption error. There was no Superbowl in 1958.  First one was 1967.
