Please remind us what the charts connote, or where we should look for your explanation.  I know I've read about them in past years, but can't find the explanation quickly.

On the first, it is game result within season.  Red win, black loss, blue tie.

On the latter, it is games above .500 in conference play by game within season.

Thank you.  Now, either kill the Russian dentistry spam, or make me a Mod and let me do it.

And for the record, no, I would not think I could be trusted either.  I can, but I certainly wouldn't take the chance.  It has not quite come to that yet.

IIRC Murray is an elegantly twirling oak tree.  Park him above the crease and let him put down roots.

5-2, but it feels like we got away with one.
Cournoyer excellent.

May have to have a quick rosé before tomorrow's game.

Priceless!!

I thought Cornell was the much better team in the 1st, even with the Colgate goal. They were constantly generating quality opportunities on breakouts and kept playing like the more skilled and speedy team. It wasn't until later, especially in the 3rd, that Colgate looked particularly threatening and held possession for long stretches of time. Not the best game for sure but certainly a game Cornell should've won

The wheels kinda started coming off when Walsh was ejected, which pushed Casey to bring out the good ol' Line Blender. The first was great, despite the GA. Second and third were terrifying.

Hate to say this, but we just got a look of our team without Walsh (in the event he leaves us after this season) Thank goodness our Freshman seem solid.

Also it seemed to really mess with the line chemistry - shades of last year when the injuries changed lines weekly.  And Colgate got under the Red's skin and pushed them even more off their game.

the effect of the line scrambling is going to be exaggerated if it comes from an in-game change rather than an off- season departure but ... I did not like it!

I think if Walsh and/or Castagna go pro after this season, the change will be way less dramatic. That being said, losing either (or both) of your top two centermen without an easy replacement sucks.

Just ask me, a Devils fan...

Major has to be one of the clutchest players in college hockey.  If he didn't get that goal, we lose 4-3 in OT. Maybe sooner.  This symptom of freshmanish better wear off soon!

Luckily, I bothered to read the right Spectrum e-mail, which told me ESPN+ is included in the TV package.  It might be part of Disney+ (also free) or a stand-alone.  I'm not sure.  But Hulu, Peacock and Paramount are also free.

I hazily recall some of this being reported earlier, but just in case someone didn't know, now you do.

McNally article (https://www.cornellsun.com/article/2026/02/no-9-mens-hockey-takes-care-of-business-at-colgate-with-5-2-victory) is a great read.

"They told us going into the intermission it was going to be checked," Jones said. "And we looked at it, I mean, it's hard to tell, but he certainly comes up. But I just thought it was a hand in the face. But it is what it is, it's a five-minute call."

That building has not been kind to Cornell lately.  There's something about playing there that brings some of the worst out of them.  That's two majors in two years now.  Colgate knows how to get under one's skin.  Really nice to come out with another decisive win.

Is it well known that Ryan was a Clarkson commit who followed Casey to Cornell?  I don't remember hearing that before.

Hopefully Major is over the injury issues.  He hadn't seemed like himself after returning from missing that time.  He is once again a difference maker.  He did a nice job stopping in the slot on his first goal.  Some guys might do a fly by there but when all the defenders moved toward the puck he found a nice pocket to make a play.  His second goal was pure determination.  Steal the puck at one end and just take it himself.

I keep saying it but they are approaching playmaking so differently this season. There was a cross ice pass option and a drop pass option on the second Major goal but the best option was to shoot and he did it.  Think of all of the rushes that resulted in nothing the past few seasons just because guys were afraid to shoot.  Keep doing it.  It's working.

I'm really pleased with how they have approached these past couple of weeks on the road.  Play hard and win the games they should win. It hasn't looked pretty at times but they are now able to limit the damage.  Nothing like how they let the Clarkson game slip away.  Keep it up

I brought this up on the car ride home actually. Ryan went Colgate (22), Clarkson (23), then to us in late 24, I think. So it definitely tracks with following Casey here.

Thankfully he did!

Only just finished watching the game somehow. Can't say the Walsh major wasn't warranted, but given how much mugging was allowed both ways, a little surprising.

Ugly win, but they're all line drives on the scorecard.

The weird thing is... if you call the Walsh 5+game, you're signing up to call the game very tightly. And then they call nothing on the like five times Gio gets assaulted until he goes apeshit in the final minute.
