See

Thanks!
Yes, they are broadcasting hockey.
And Grady is back for tonights game on WHCU. Funny, he just signed off as 680, whoops 870 WHCU. Must be 680 is the Bing. station that he broasdcasts from.
I'll start the score update as the subject.

The first Gradyism. As the fans file in late, "Grab a seat folks. That's why they start at 7 PM."
Maybe some of our fans could learn from that.
I missed the pregame so I didn't hear the line combinations; I hear Iggulden is playing. Is he taking the place of Varteressian?
Also, defensive pairings sound like:
Wallace/Cook
Downs/O'Byrne
Glover/Gleed
And McKee in net.
Even you update the score from within the thread, the first entry in this thread would need to be changed to alter the subject on the main page of eLynah. Maybe start another thread, or hockeyfan can update it?
SCORE! Chris Abbott!

Score! 1-0 Abbott!

Chris Abbott @4:48 from Hornby.
For the benefit of those just joining, if you hear a goal, update the score in the subject, please.

The scoring on that goal:
1st period; 4:48 Chris Abbott (Hornby)

PP right now for Yale (penalty to Bitz)
....and the penalty is killed off
Post Edited (11-07-03 19:23)
If we all reply to the last post, then changing that score will be correct.
Bitz.

BITZ SCORES!! from Iggulden I think on a 3 on 2
10:18 Bitz (Iggulden)
Post Edited (11-07-03 19:24)
Ok, that makes sense with updating the subject.
PP over for Yale...they did hit the post during it.
Yeah! 2-0! Bitz!
Post Edited (11-07-03 19:25)
I'll start it over so we have the last post with correct score.

Harvard 4 Vermont 4
Harvard remembered how to score but where's the Crimson defense?
I have to say, that as much as I enjoy to listen to Adam broadcast the games, I have missed Grady. He has a flair about his game calling that is priceless. That said, LGR!!!
Sieve, sieve, sieve....It's all your fault; it's all your fault! :-P
Harvard takes the lead.
....And they still suck
Well the 4 goals against MIGHT be a reflection of the fact that Dov Grumet-Morris isn't in net tonight
I knew that but I expected their defense to be better. I mean, c'mon, they started the season ranked #6. ::rolleyes::
Hynes on the PP!
pp goal Hynes!!!
Damn it Hedrick...:-P
It was Hynes from Knoepfli
....and things sound like they're getting ugly
....and we'll have 2 mins. of 4 on 4

Sorry to steal your thunder, Drew :-) How's Dr. Freer?
Good..he is in N.J., so it's just me and the dog listening to the game:-)

final :-)
6-2, final score. Must have been a good week of practice :).
Good win - that's the way they needed to start the ECAC season! Good to see (hear) Bitz and Moulson are developing some chemistry.
(Take care, Drew. Talk to you later!)
Hopefully the unbalanced score tonight was more our ability than Yale's shortcomings. Remember, they've been crushed in all three games so far this season. Still, I'll take it.
Yeah, it's a concern, but the thing that makes me pretty hopefully that it was at least half of each is...
[Q]"I think we played a solid game on the road," said Cornell coach Mike Schafer. "It's tough to play here but we had a real good week of practice."
...
"People who remember our defensive team from last year are making an unfair comparison," Schafer said. "Compared to the way we were at the beginning of the season, we've seen a lot of improvement."[/Q]
In Schafer we trust :-).
Keep in mind, North Dakota, one of the top teams in the nation, beat them 8-4 the second night. Which isn't a huge stretch from 6-2. I'm not saying we're UND, but it was a solid win.
It'll be interesting to see how the team looks next time they're back in the friendly confines.

Good points. I'm not trying to be a pessimist. Just trying not to read too much into the win. You know the old sports clice - don't get too high when things are going well or too low when things are going poorly. Excuse me, in sports parlance that's "going good" and "going bad".
[Q]Good to see (hear) Bitz and Moulson are developing some chemistry.[/Q]
I see them together in Trillium all the time...I think the chemistry is developed.
