I'll do the same thing for the Princeton game. Just ordered my tickets today online.
If you're going, chime in. Also, does anyone know if the band will be at this game?
The band will be at the Yale/Princeton away games.
Transportation is the problem at this point though.
Yes sir, just have to get my tickets...of course, I've just gotten walk up tickets the last 3 years...
There was a small gathering at Winberries (sp?) last year.
I plan on being there, possibly with a non-Cornellian friend. I haven't ordered tickets yet, but I'm not worried unless the faithful buy the whole place out.

One can hope, Jeff, one can hope....
:-)
Be forewarned, though.... Princetonians get offended very easily, particularly with gratuitous use of the word "suck."
Some people just can't handle the truth
SUCK!!!!!
Get over it. ::moon::

Adam '01-
You ordered the Princeton tix online from where?
Thanks.

I thought you hi-brow Ivy League types didn't use such pedestrian language. :-D
If you think, the Princetonians object to the usual language of the "faithful", it may be because there's always a large youth population at Baker. I've been going to Baker since '78 and that's what I've noticed.
The Princeton "crowd" is usually quite well-behaved...and disturbingly quiet. ::rolleyes::
For the dozenth time, for him who hasn't yet mastered use of the dictionary, "sucks" is a perfectly good slang word meaning "objectionable" or "inadequate."::rolleyes::
I'd give an example that comes immediately to mind, but discretion is occasionally the better part of valor. ::nut::

Al,
The term has distasteful conotations which should preclude its use in a large public setting. Surely we can be a tad more creative to express our disdain for the bad guys, eh?
I grant you that today's youth may not grasp that conotation but people of your age and mine grew up with the word meaning something quite different than "objectionable".
And please...no more dictionary lectures. Thanks.
:-)
"Princeton is objectionable and inadequate!" just doesn't have the same ring to it....
I think a steady cheer of "Princeton's in New Jersey" would be quite appropriate. Perhaps someone would be willing to add to the hijinx by shouting "Oh crap! So am I!" and run screaming out of the rink.
Regardles of what the connotations the term may have or have had, it really just means "objectionable" or "inadequate" in most cases today. That's what the younger kids are probably going to make of it anyway.
Fine.
Princeton fellates!

Anyone have any tickets they can't use for the Princeton game? I am trying to put together a couple of blocks of tickets for a big group, and it's not clear whether the box office will be able to accomodate all of us.
If anyone has 2+ tickets together that they can't use, please let me know. I am in midtown Manhattan and could meet you sometime during the week to purchase the tickets.
Thanks!
I forgot to add that you can e-mail me at friedman29@yahoo.com if you have extra tickets. Thanks.
Where is everyone sitting? And where will the band be?
If last year is any indication, the band will be in the corner at the end opposite from the balcony where the Princeton students tend to sit. I believe this is the west end of the rink. Only one end has seating on the lower level, and as I stood behind the goalie at that end, the band was to my left.

But last year, they were on the side with the balcony. From the balcony's point of view, the band was on the left. I know, because that balcony is where my friends and I sat. (Unless there's a second balcony that I don't know about. The one I'm thinking of is just cement and stuff. We technically had SRO tickets bought that day at the door, but we ended up sitting in various places anyway.)

Yes, last year, band by side with cement balcony. Refs enter and exit along with our team.
I don' t know where the Princeton students sat...but that leads to the question of "Do Princeton students attend hockey games?"

Sure they do! About twenty of them. They sit on the bench and in the box...
And they like to read eLynah from time to time. ;-)
For those of you who don't remember what I'm talking about....see the 2001 ECAC First Round.

As far as I recall, that's always where Princeton puts the band.
Kate and I will be at Princeton this weekend.
Kate will be around Princeton all day Saturday, shoot her an e-mail (kmn4) if you are in town Saturday and want to hang out. I'll be coming down from a family event in NY Saturday.
See everyone at Princeton, LGR!
