I'm not sure we'd want to host—jockeys aren't very tough along the boards :-P

This would require possessing a organized competent Athletic Department, which for some reason hasn't existed for a couple decades.

The jury is still out at how broadly Nicki Moore wants the department/university to participate in such things...god knows we relied on BU to run every MSG hockey game even the years we were "hosts."  If Swanstrom gets some time to raise a busted ship, I'm willing to give Moore a chance to solidify the Ath. department.

It's early but I've been positively impressed by Moore. I think she's also in a bit of a tough spot now navigating an interim presidency with no idea what latitude the next president will afford her.

I think folks in ithaca who don't get around much to other schools may not fully appreciate how amateurish things have been for so long.
