Quote from: USCHO on NCAA Playing Rules...— When using video replay, officials will have the ability to review a major penalty and downgrade it to a minor penalty or no penalty. Officials can add to a major penalty during the review (game misconduct or disqualification).

This would seem to imply that a video review after no call on the ice could also result in a minor penalty rather than a major penalty. The rule that a no call became a major grew to be an annoyance for me.  Cornell has at least twice been called for major interference penalties after video review of no call on the ice.  But the way this is written is odd in that it doesn't specifically address this instance.

Quote from: USCHO on NCAA Playing Rules...— A rule dealing with the scoring of a goal during a delayed penalty was removed. Previously, if a goal was scored during a delayed penalty call, the penalty was enforced, and the nonoffending team received a power play. Removing this rule will result in the penalty being nullified.

Now that we're all used to the rule it is being rescinded in spite of it causing all sorts of excitement for fans and players during the on ice action before the play is whistled dead.  Is there any way to count how many times Cornell won or lost those 2 goals when the rule was in effect?

Did the NHL rescind the delayed penalty? I thought the NC$$ was committed to aping them?

Does that mean we can get rid of 3x3 and the shoot out?

nope.

"To standardize competition, panel members approved mandating the use of a shootout after the five-minute 3-on-3 overtime period. NCAA championships selection committees have indicated that a shootout will not be part of any selection criteria."
