Best wishes to CU basketball player Gabe Stephenson, who is recovering from an assault in Denver.

I, of course, also wish the best to Gabe Stephenson.  What happened to him is horrible, and the hope is that the coward that jumped him from behind is punished.

But still . . .

"[T]he 6-foot-8, 220-pound Stephenson attempted to mediate what appeared to be a brewing argument. . . .after it appeared the two sides had dispersed, he was jumped from behind. . . . Stephenson suffered a broken nose, a broken right arm and received 50 stitches on his face. He had a concussion and two chipped teeth. . . .  According to police reports, the suspect in the case was described as an Asian male, 5-10 and 180 pounds."

What are you trying to suggest.  5-10, 180 doesn't suggest a weakling, and I'd imagine being 6-8 would hurt you more then help you in a fight.  And ever heard of martial arts?  Not to be stereotypical and suggest that since he's Asian, he must have been using Karate or something, but it's possible, and even if not, martial arts shows that the bigger man is always the better fighter.   I'm 6-3 and 195, and I bet that guy could have beaten me up too.

Martial arts, boxing, street fighting, it doesn't matter.  If the kid has experience fighting and Gabe has never fought before, he's gonna get whooped, and that's not even counting getting jumped from behind.
