For those who don't bother visiting the official Cornell athletics page, here's an excerpt from their preview for this weekend's games:
"Big Red in the News: Sports Illustrated is the latest publication to come knocking on the Lynah Rink doors. With the NHL on break for the Olympics, SI's normal "Around the NHL" section will focus on college hockey next week. Look for a piece by Daniel Habib featuring goalies Matt Underhill and Dave LeNeveu...."
BTW, I don't subscribe to SI, so if anyone sees this article, if they'd post and let us know it has hit the newsstands, it would be appreciated.
I wonder whether Daniel is any relation to our own Karl Habib '81, a favorite of the Faithful?
"Habib's Raiders"!!! B-]
Dunno if he's related, but he's the same guy who wrote the preseason SI article that some here couldn't find in their issue. If you recall, he mentioned Cornell and Harvard in the outlook for the ECAC, thereby pissing off some from other unmentioned schools...
can anyone explain the relative deluge of media coverage for cornell lately? is it simply explainable by our top ten status combined with the fact that we're an ivy?
Slow news month and it's our turn?
> Daniel Habib
Name is familiar. Alum?
