If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Per Jason: Andreev out, Donaldson in.
For anyone else as confused as I was a few minutes ago, the game starts at 7:30 tonight apparently.

Well, that was quick
Ben was overdue.

I'm no psychic but it was pretty obvious how the period would go after that giveaway
End of period struggles continue
Cornell 3 Colgate 2

We got beat cleanly on 2 consecutive faceoffs in the last minute. The first led to an icing, and then after their 2nd clean win we couldn't get the clearance, and bang it's a one goal game. We got what we deserved.

Hopefully the message sending was worth it, cause Keopple has not been impressive.

For as long as I've been watching sports, I'm consistently amazed how so often one play like the turnover resulting in Colgate's 1st goal can see a game turn on a dime.

IMO Keopple hasn't gotten a fair chance. Remember, Shane wasn't getting regular starts until the break games @ ASU last season. At this level, you need time to adjust to this level.
Cornell 3 Colgate 4

Colgate scores on a 4-on-4.... And we don't get a guy back? Did the rules change?
Can the message be unsent?

Since it's not a PP the penalties are served in full
Isn't it matching minors? I could have sworn those resulted in a 4x5 if a team scored. Maybe I'm just misremembering.

Never. Not in my 57 years of Cornell hockey.
Why would the scoring team get penalized by having to kill on
a 5 on 4?
Ok we get our sort of fluky goal
Cornell 4 Colgate 4

O'Leary Penney
Ha, not arguing with that!
Nice goal just now, too, LGR
Something about Colgate causes our defensemen to treat the puck like a hand grenade
I don't think the regular Colgate PBP guy is doing this game, but some of these league road broadcasters are something else
This camera angle on the PP is...special

That power play looked threatening but all the missed shots
Quote from: IcebergThat power play looked threatening but all the missed shots
We found a way to not do 3x3, just draw a penalty near the end of reg.
It would have been nice if at least one of our shots on the power play in OT hit the net. Malinski had three good looks in a row and missed the net on all three. At least if it's on net we might get lucky or we might get a rebound.

Thanks ESPN+
No. Way.
LOL. Fitting considering the broadcast. Tuned in to WHCU just in time to hear the first round.
Shootouts. Whatever.

It's terrible for your heart. At my age, or really anybody's age to be honest with you.

That was barley funny. It really goes against my grain. I prefer a rye sense of humor. Nothing corny.
:-D
we passed the puck cleanly to a colgate player on an attempted clear at least 3 times tonight. after the blitz to start the game, just a lot of crap.

Quite true, but until Colgate's late PP we dominated territorially in the 3rd period and had a few excellent opportunities. As mentioned it was frustrating that our overtime PP reverted to classic Cornell gang that can't shoot straight mode.
Our shooting from medium to short range has disappointed for a long time. Do they still have the skate treadmill? Do they ever set that up with a n angled or unangled goal for on-the-move shooting practice?
all of that.. at least we clinched home ice with the tie.
We also maintained our lead in the Common Opponents category over Harvard, although we are quite close in RPI.
Hyperventilating over every twitch in the pairwise is unnecessary, but what else am I supposed to do?
4 games and then the 2 home playoff games.. 4-0/3-1 and a sweep and good chance we are in no matter what happens in placid.. If we dont get to placid who knows.
Getting ready for Lake Placid? My stepson and and his wife own a beautiful, fully-furnished lodge in Minerva, NY, about 80 minutes from Lake Placid and 15 minutes from Gore Mountain skiing. Sleeps 15 responsible Big Red fans. Check it out on Verbo: https://t.vrbo.io/IXaGG87bPwb
I'm attending a grandson's wedding, or else I'd be there. LGR!
