Does anyone know if t-shirts, hats, etc commemorating Cornell's ECAC/Ivy titles are available somewhere? The last time I checked on the Campus Store website, they didn't seem to be there.
2 weeks ago, I went to the Campus Store, Bear Necessities, and Cecil's Campus Clothing (formerly Turk Bros.). The only championship gear was at Cecil's in the form of a very loud ECAC t-shirt. It was grey with a hard-to-read "Champions" text arced above Huggy-Bear, with the ECAC oval logo at the bottom. I didn't buy it. There was nothing at the Campus Store or Bear Necessities.
There of course is the stuff at ivysport.com
I had asked Sue at the hockey office about Championship gear, and she mentioned the name of someone in Athletics who was working on getting ECAC licensing approval. I can probably do more questioning next week at reunion. I would love replicas of the team's on-ice ECAC championship hats and really any good-looking shirts. I bought just about all the '96 and '97 hats and t-shirts.
Maybe Perfect Screen Printers will make Championship stuff to sell at Lynah next season.
Basically, I think we have to let people know that if they make it, there's a lot of people on and off this board who will buy it.
I ordered a Frozen Four shirt through the USCHO store, but have received email that it is still back-ordered. Maybe if more people ordered it, they would get the order filled faster.

Thanks for the legwork, Rich. The hats and T-shirts from 1996 and 1997 were rather nice. Classy, to the point, not overstated. the only downside is that "IVY LEAGUE ECAC CHAMPIONS" looks a little too much like just "IVY LEAGUE HOCKEY CHAMPIONS", so it'd be nice to see the ECAC part emphasized a little more.

Didn't those not say Cornell on them at all, though? I recall them being generic hats that were made to be given to either team (as opposed to the big-time practice of making two sets and destroying the other lest they become black-market collector's items).

I picked up a Frozen Four shirt in Buffalo that was much better looking than that one, if only because it was in Carnellian Red and not crimson ::yark:: , like that link. It's a little louder, but I figured I'd let people know about the option if they're still selling it anywhere out there.
They at least have the large shirts in stock now, mine was shipped yesterday. Thanks for putting up that link, I was pissed that I didn't get one in Buffalo.

Just to update...I went to PSP last week, and was told that they would indeed have ECAC championship shirts for sale at Lynah this fall.
Also, the Campus Store has a white ECAC championship hat for sale now. The graphic is a bold, red stiched "Cornell" at the top, crossed hockey sticks with a "2003" below that, and "ECAC Hockey Champions" at the bottom. It's pretty decent quality, and at $14.95, cheaper than most other hats the Store carries.
Cool. Thanks Rich.
BTW, has anyone seen NCAA Regional Champions gear for any of the Frozen Four participants? On some level it seems like a better thing to be proud of than just playing in the Frozen Four.
It does? "Regional Chmapions" sounds like a cheesy marketing title, kind of like baseball teams donning "Wild Card Champion" T-shirts and caps. I'd rather wear an Ivy Champs T-shirt than an East Regional one.

I'm with Keith here. I'd rather say "Frozen Four" than "Regional Champion" because the meaning of "Frozen Four" is so much clearer.
Does anybody have one of these Frozen Four shirts from 2003 in a mens large? Would purchase it to wear to games!

I would love it if some vintage Cornell souvenirs were available somewhere. Anybody have old hats or shirts they want to get rid of (for a reasonable price)?

Oof.

I have a few Cornell hockey t-shirts from about that era, but they're pretty threadbare from having been worn periodically.
I need to see if I still have my 1996 ECAC champions T-shirt somewhere. I still wear my "Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut" shirt regularly during hockey season.

I miss the team specific ECAC hats. I have a few I grabbed in 2010 when Albany had a fire sale on 2009 and 2008 gear. I have a few other vintage items. You can check with Janice after I expire.
What was the name of the Ithaca company that used to make Cornell hockey apparel? Like PSP or something?

Perfect Screen Printers was who you had to go to to get a nameplate put on a gameworn jersey.

I wonder why they aren't selling the gameworn jerseys anymore.

They're still in business (and moved up by the mall) but their current focus is on "promotional apparel and corporate gifts."

They were selling them as recently as 2022...not sure about the last few years though:

My daughter loves my "Dream Crushing" t-shirt. She wears that whenever we go to a game including this year's championship. She sometimes just wears it around. I don't think it's mine any more.
I have a 2003 Frozen Four shirt, but I am keeping that.
I have a 2003 FF shirt I am also keeping. I was wearing it in NYC this summer and it was spotted by a 30-year old guy who asked about it. I said it was the last time my team made the Frozen Four. Surprisingly he responded that Cornell was close last year and had a great team in 2020 when the tournament was canceled. it turned out that he used to cover the Harvard hockey team for the Harvard Crimson (or whatever their newspaper is called) when he was a student there. So Harvard actually has one fan who knows something about college hockey.

I'm not sure the "garage sale" ever had actual gameworn jerseys. The gameworns used to be sold by a guy at Teagle, and you had to write to him to find out when he would put them on sale. These were not part of the athletics department garage sale. If anything did wind up in the garage sale, they were the leftovers from what the guy in Teagle sold.

You're right: I remember emailing him to get a couple of jerseys when I was a student. I just assumed that the "garage sale" was a newer thing after he retired or something.

Temu or some guys on Canal Street in Manhattan probably have them already.
Some of the ECAC gear I've seen over the years looked okay, not great, on durability. One could design something in Photoshop and have a local T-shirt printer make a one-off with a best-quality tee. Copyright is less an issue when it's a personal thing starting with: first they have to catch you.
