Horrible to see him in that sweater.
But his words offer some encouragement.
This is by far a done deal and morgan is really thinking it thru

Did you leave out the word "not" unintentionally?

Unlikely.
This is what you say. He understands what he is supposed to say. Good for him.
From April 21st NY Post Sports Mailbags by Larry Brooks, in a Q&A format:
Q: Do you think Morgan Barron will sign with the Rangers or wait 'til next year to be a FA and choose the path Kevin Hayes and Jimmy Vesey did??
A: I expect Barron to sign with the Rangers this offseason.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I sure hope old Larry Brooks doesn't know what he's talking about!!
I hope so too. But if there is no NCAA hockey next season, he really wont have a choice.

Let's hope that doesn't happen.... I'll shrivel up & die!!

Quote from: Jeff TeatCornell has always been a special place to me, and due to COVID-19, our journey this year was unfortunately cut short. Thankfully, I have been given another opportunity to compete for a National Championship with this program, and that is something I just couldn't turn down. With that said, I am very excited to return to Cornell for the 2021 season.
Except for money, I don't see much difference.
Jesus fuck I misread that. You nearly made my day.
the way things are now there is a chance the nHL season doesnt even start until Jan at this rate.. he could come back play the season and still play half a season of Pro after that.

The way things are now we may well not have a season next year.::cry::
The northeast is getting better, but much of the rest of the US is getting worse and not doing the things to get it under control.
There's only a couple of months before students should be coming back.
With CU being a university with students from all over, they'll have to look at what's happening everywhere before bringing students back to campus.
Needless to say I'm not optimistic. Damn virus, damn Georgia, damn Arizona, ...

Lockdown is working so let's end it.
i have a hard time casting blame around given how slow new york was to be as locked down as we became and how anxious so many appear to be to get back to spitting on each other based on what the bars* look like
not an IMPOSSIBLE time just a hard time

I thought the rule was No Politics on the forum. So:
If "buffoon" is Potus, somebody broke the rules.
If "buffoon" is our athletic director and fellow alumnus, that falls under fair comment.
I think that's how it works.

My state (South Dakota) has taken the fewest protective measures of any state. We never shut down.
Yet, we're still opening up.

So little population density —800,000 people in an area 1.6 times the size of NYS

#nopolitics means you can call people who risk death for hockey morons, but you can't call people who risk death for FREEDUMB morons.
So... uh... the first one.

On an unrelated note, Bangladesh has 160million people in a country slightly larger than South Dakota. I always have trouble wrapping my mind around that.

And half of that area is underwater for large chunks of the year.
With the newly negotiated CBA, a player who signs by July 15 (this Wednesday) will have this season count toward his free agency clock regarding service, even though that player will not be eligible for the playoffs. I expect we may see a few players who have hesitated jump at this opportunity.
I just got unofficial word that Morgan Barron has signed with the NY Rangers.....
Good luck Morgan!!

Congratulations Morgan please don't die for the DOW.
Professional hockey becomes a whole lot less profitable with no revenue from the gates. Even if they opened the gates now and packed them in the crowds would evaporate in a couple of weeks. Money is the beginning and end of the pro hockey business, just like every other professional sport. Professional sports owners are in the same bind as American politicians. Lets hope the sports owners deal with coronavirus better than incumbent American politicians. That shouldn't be too hard.
I watched the game today expecting to hear his name. And this was before I read that he signed.
Oh well.
