No playoffs, no problem. The final poll determines the champion.
In the Harkness-then-Moran late 1960s lacrosse years, the pollsters always screwed Cornell in favor of a less-talented old-guard southern team. So it's fair turnabout now.
Cornell should hoist two banners this fall and celebrate the men and women being national champions.

I was just having this discussion with my wife. I'd like to see the NC$$ declare a Nat'l Champ. It will be a somewhat shallow title, but better than nothing.
If an auto race is red-flagged after 290 of 350 laps, the car in the lead is the winner. Cornell is out front with 29 of 35 games played. Done.

The beautifully appointed Hall of Fame room that overlooks Schoellkopf Field in Friends Hall commemorates CU football history. At the entrance are 5 objects that commemorate the "national championships" (https://cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/active/c/cornell/all_national_champs.php) of the program, and they suspiciously are modeled after modern NCAA trophies.
They can be seen in this photo gallery. (https://cornellbigred.com/galleries/general/introducing-friends-hall/28)
Just saying.

Just saying.
NCAA championship trophies are uglier than most rec league bowling trophies. Something should be done.

But they're probably cheap to make.
Stanley Cup-shaped shot glasses would be the most appropriate college hockey trophy I can think of.
