Really wish I could have stayed for the banquet.  Hats off to the seniors and the rest of the team for an amazing season.

I just wish they would open this to all fans, not just CHA members. I thought they might this year, but attendance was too great I guess.:-/

Attendance was, indeed, enormous this year; the Lakewatch was jammed to the rafters.  It was a beautiful thing to see, and I'm really glad that I went - it was, after all, more or less on the way back from Buffalo.

Jim, you could probably pay for a CHA membership just with the money you save from not having to buy Snickers during the off-season.  :-D

Next time, if I cannot go (I am a CHA member), someone can go as me and Rebecca...:-P

That's interesting - I went with a friend who is not a CHA member.  I sort of assumed that it was the sort of thing I could bring a date to if I wanted, so why not the guy who happens be driving me from Buffalo to NYC on the day of the banquet?  They never asked or commented.

I'd think it would be something like an Afterglow: you can bring a guest, and maybe help recruit them.

BTW, will any more of Low Rise 9 be going to the F4 in Boston next year? :-}

The banquet was open to members & non-members alike. In fact, I can't think of a CHA event, from the "bowl with the Big Red" to the bus trip to Colgate, that wasn't open to non-members. The CHA is really not exclusionary. However, I don't see the big deal in shelling out $35 bucks as a townie or $10 as a student to get a pin, help support the team and fans, and make it a non-issue.

Actually, I asked to make it public that others could attend. In fact, I wanted to post it on this forum. However, I was told there was not enough room for others to attend, so I chose not to go. Hopefully they can expand it in the future.

The end of the article says next year's captains will be announced at a later date.  Weren't those already announced at the celebration last week?

Yes, but this article is dated April 13.  The vote happened on April 17.

Except the buying of Section C tickets, but I guess you wouldn't call than an "event" per se.  That is the exclusive benefit that a lot of us get.  (Although I was a Booster before I was a season ticket holder.)

Woops, didn't realize this thread was bumped (clearly haven't been paying attention for a few days  ::snore:: )
