Pay back.
That was an... inconsistently reffed game.
Yes it was. It was also strange to see a visiting team with white jerseys in a college game, but I understand why it was done in this instance.
That could have easily been 5-2 or 6-2, even without the multiple whiffs on the empty net. The Dartmouth goalie made some remarkable saves.
Schafer now has a winning record in ECAC RS games against every conference opponent (http://www.tbrw.info/?/weekly_Updates/schafer_Opps_ECAC.html).
even exciting on the radio!
those calls on Barron were prettty weak. thought the Dart goalie some really big saves to keep them in the game but at the same time looking shaky on a bunch of shots but we couldnt put one home.
Was the crowd as loud and sustained in their cheering as it sounded on the radio? Or was that just wishful hearing on my part?

From my seat in Section E there were lots of quiet periods. Maybe it's just been awhile. But I'm hoping tomorrow will be a more sustained noise level.
I've said it before, but our evolved style of play, when we're playing at a high tempo, is a joy to watch. Tonight was one of those times. But for Clark the game is a rout.
With the win and the North Dakota loss we are back to first in pairwise. (We were actually back to first before the North Dakota loss, but after it Minnesota State took second from North Dakota.)

I saw that. surprised that the win over Dartmouth pushed us into first before the nodak loss.

At one point, I'm pretty sure we picked up a penalty when a Dartmouth player tried to check one of our guys around the blue line after he (Cornell player) passed the puck, but the Dartmouth player bounced off him and fell to the ice.
Not sure how that works.

That was in the pantheon of terrible calls in hockey history. It's a crowded group, for sure, but hey.
Cornell whiffed on a ton of chances, and messed up a bunch of odd-man rushes. I thought that was more the reason why the game was closer than it should've been than anything Clark did.

I was in the middle of making dinner when that play happened and didn't have the sound on for some reason, so I figured maybe I just missed some call away from the puck. Good to know I wasn't the only one confused.

So much this. ::banana::
We clinched 11th (http://playoffstatus.com/ecachockey/ecacwinmagicnumbers.html)!
Edit: oh, shit, no we didn't. We are one win from clinching 11th!
Really loved seeing the white helmets with the red jerseys- the traditional look. Let's go back to THAT. Lose the red helmets altogether. Except maybe the game at Lynah East.

.....fun to hear the play by play announcer say that D's top line had just been handled by five Red freshman.
