Title: 2020-01-18: Cornell 3 Northern Michigan 1

Schafer with some lineup changes: both Tupkeri, Motley, and Leahy in.  Mentioned he hasn't been seeing fire and camaraderie. I don't think these were injuries.

So Bauld, Betts, Andreev and Cairns will sit tonight. I do think a bit of a shakeup may not be the worst thing, and getting some other guys on the ice may provide a shot of additional energy.

Announcers differ, but that's a pretty late hit. Hope Cam's okay.

We looked great in the third.  Nice win; NMU was tough.

My mistake. It is yesterday's game.

much better energy from the 2nd period on..  NM really tried to turn the game into a bunch of scrums and stick work and make it 1-1 in space game.

cornell was much better thru center ice and with the puck control passing game.

good lesson when playing teams that are pretty quick.  we were much better with the lazy passing to clear the zone after the first period.  its the stuff that yale used to kill us with

Cornell is deep this year.

The hit on Cam was late and high, stick into neck/face-mask area it looked like ...   another no call was hard to believe.  I too hope he is a-OK and recovers quickly and completely!

Kudos to the team for effort and really picking the pace up with control in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

Hit was fine. Tough hit but he'll be ok

It was legal.  It was in no way useful for the play, it was just punitive.  The kind of check you throw in the first period to wear a guy down.  At that point I don't see any point in doing it except to be a butthead.

Thanks guys,  I am glad to hear I was wrong - would rather have a 'butthead' play against us than a really nasty / dirty one.

I was impressed with improvement in positioning and focus on the PK!  Northern Mich. U. is for real and we may see them again in a regional.

its the kind of hit that is high enough it normally does get called though. if he was taller probably wouldnt have looked so bad.

Judging from C.U.M.H. scores relative to opponents' power ranking and hints - like lineup changes - one might suspect the Cornell Men's Hockey Team's performance [and effort] are "uneven".
