1-0 after 1; Andreev (Regush, Barron)
Lots of really good skaters on our team. I haven't seen the stick-handling and play-making the frosh were lauded on against Nipissing. Guys do seem to be in the right place, and Malinski and Malone look very good. Haven't really got a handle on the Tupkers yet.
3-0 final. 1 goal per period, goalies didn't get much work at all.
I thought it was a better more consistent effort.. as was said in the right place a lot.. some very nice forwarding thinking on the passes.
it was clear though we had the strength and out worked the U-18 kids.. They were very skilled once they got set up we just didnt let them get to those spots very much. the 3rd was the only time they really threatened by mCgrath played well

Agreed about McGrath. While Galajda seems the clear number 1, McGrath gives us some comfort for sure should Galajda struggle.
FWIW when Michigan State played the U-18's, they won 2-1.

Their whole college schedule so far is, as best as I can find:
Lost to NMU 4-3
Lost to Notre Dame 4-2
Lost to Ferris State 5-0
Lost to Providence 2-1 OT
Beat Holly Cross 4-2
Lost to MSU 2-1
Beat Canisius 3-1
games play out differently but we were one of the few teams to really dominant them. Even the games like ferris was an even game in everything but the score.. We went about 2 periods where they couldnt barely get the puck to center ice.. they had like 6 shots into the 3rd
