Apparently ShortLine's lawyers also "go the distance".

I laughed when I read the article. The cease and desist letter reminded me of the first published lawsuit involving a Tweet. A disgruntled tenant Tweeted "Who said sleeping in a moldy apartment was bad for you? Horizon Realty thinks it's okay." The landlord brought a libel action asking for $50,000 in damages and the conflict went [sort of] viral. Nobody ever heard of Horizon Realty before the lawsuit; 22 people followed the tenant on Twitter. Now the company is famous, at least with libel lawyers and comm law students. And the lawsuit was dismissed.
ShortLine was always the bus alternative to Greyhound in Ithaca for students. Now it is the obnoxious bus company with no sense of humor.
Streisand Effect FTW
