How nice that they have to drive up Cornell Dr. to get to the rink.
That's actually kinda cool.
I didn't know they were refurbing Appleton. I hope they don't ruin it -- it's my favorite barn after Matthews.

Quote from: CHN"Significant progress on the Appleton Arena project continues, but unforeseen construction delays have caused the renovation to fall behind an already tight schedule," St. Lawrence athletic director Bob Durocher said.
Isn't "unforeseen construction delays" an oxymoron?
Quote from: CHNThat arena [Roos House @ SUNY Canton] holds about 900 people, as opposed to the 3,200 at Appleton. ... In addition, a home-and-home non-league series against Clarkson on Nov. 1-2 has been changed so that both games will be played at Clarkson's Cheel Arena, itself recently renovated.
Oh great! As if SLUt needs more of a disadvantage (https://www.ecachockey.com/men/2019-20/News/20190917_-_Men-s_Pre-Season_Poll_and_All-League).

Is there residual sadness about the passing of U-Halls?

I will never forget those inverted half watermelon drapes. UHall 5 forever! Sperry Sucks!
Long Live the Fishbowl (when we could drink)!

UHall 4 - third floor - short corridor. Will never forget it and absolutely no regrets with their demise and what has replaced it!

UHall 4 - First floor - "The Lost Corridor". Loved it, but was glad to move on.
In 81-82 the Lost Corridor had the best parties.

Was the logo with Zonker Harris leaning on the C of Cornell still on the door in 81-82?

I don't recall it and I think I would have.
Was the Lost Corridor the one with the Dark Side of the Moon heartbeat drawn
perfectly down the entire corridor? That was notable.

Now that I think about the door said "The Lost Corridor" with Zonker leaning on the C of Corridor (like the bear leaning on the C of Cornell in my avatar). But I figured it didn't last. We painted the door bright red, even though the rest of the dorm lobby was yellow and brown. It was rather jarring.
I remember the Dark Side heartbeat, but I want to say that was in UHall 2 or 3.
You had better stories in UHalls. I had a better room, a single, in Dickson. It was the first year that Cornell had women and men in the same dorm. Which started out as a good idea but when you couldn't get a date, it got even more demoralizing.
One of the UHalls, Sperry I assume, had coed within floor; the rest of us settled for coed by floor. I don't recall a single intra-UHall couple in my dorm. Too much, too soon, and nobody male or female was going to turn down the cornucopia that was the Bakers.

Sperry was the UHall that was coed by room, as we referred to it, during my time in the UHalls. All the others were coed by floor. UHall 4 also had "study floors". The 3rd floor (male) and 4th floor (female) were to be quiet after 10 PM so people could study.
U-Halls went coed by room in the mid 80's to stop the destruction caused by freshMEN. I don't miss them much, but I do miss ultimate in the Dust Bowl.
@ SLU tickets on sale this AM. (https://saintsathletics.universitytickets.com/w/) Small number of seats, so they may go fast.::uhoh:: Seating on 1 side only. I decided on section D, because it's on CU's side of ice and I could get top row, where if I want to, I hope I can stand.
Actually when I look further, both benches are visitor. Oh well, maybe I'll convince everyone that Sec D is the CU section. If the band comes, which because Football is at Dartmouth, they may not, I suspect they will be in Sec F.
I love how they have the different ticket categories, but the prices are the same for all of them.
