Title: Cloudflare?
Post by: Swampy on May 06, 2019, 11:02:30 AM
On one of my computers I've been getting an error accessing elf.elynah and some other web sites. The message reads:
QuoteError 1016 ...

What happened?
You've requested a page on a website (elf.elynah.com) that is on the Cloudflare network. Cloudflare is currently unable to resolve your requested domain (elf.elynah.com).

I switched to a different computer and had no problem accessing this site. But because the explanation for the error indicates it may be temporary, I can't be sure if it's the computer or the timing of the attempted access.

FWIW, Cloudflare is a web security/efficiency service that substitutes its own servers' IP addresses for the IP address of the genuine, final destination of the actual web site. The Cloudflare servers perform security checks before forwarding requests to the actual IP address; they also cache pages from destination web sites, thereby supposedly speeding up page rendering (esp. if the original web server is on a slower system and/or would have to construct page elements on the fly).

So please help me figure this out by answering my question. My question is: does elynah.com use Cloudflare?
