I'll not be starting any more game threads.  I respect the Eldritch Gods.

This will be a tough game. Penn has one-goal losses to PSU and Maryland. They have an excellent FOGO (15 of 32 against PSU), and an excellent goalie, a senior who has been a four-year starter. And it's pretty much a must-win for both teams.

Damn Teat is accurate. Used his teammate' helmet to screen the shot and hit the five hole.

Ground ball intensity belongs to Cornell.

Too many unforced turnovers.  That and the penalties have game closer than it should be.

It would be nice to see more hard cutters in front of the cage for Teat, esp. on the unsettled or numbers situations. Good things happen when they cut.

Brutal finish. There's a fine line between physicality and recklessness, and too often we are verging into the latter. The penalty disparity between us and our opponents is not an accident, and it's really hurting.

Can ANYONE who follows this sport give the scores in lax threads, or at least elaborate? Right now, I have to time how soon Al D says "too many unforced turnovers" every game to guess how we're doing.

Edit: sorry, this reads more mean-spirited than it was meant to be.

Thanks! Cornellbigred.com is a shitshow on my browser and I know laxpower is dead. I'd love to come here for updates, but the lax threads read more like the chat room lately.

Story of the game. That one non-releasable cost us 2 goals, maybe three from the face off and fast break. Cornell threw away opportunity after opportunity. Teat needs to stop trying to beat the double by cradling with his back to the goal.

The team is in a hole. We'll see their character as they hit the final stretch.

What Teat did at end was what Charles Barkley calls "hero ball".  He's a great player but does not have "Pannell type strength" to back into defenders.  Did not expect the defense to look this bad because only major loss was Pulver.
