A win almost locks up first round bye. 7 up over yale with 8 pts left
lose and it really tightens things up.

harvard clarkson play tonight so they both cant gain 2. not sure which is better for ice.. one helps us stay in first, one helps us get closer to locking up top 4.

brown can at best get to 28
clarkson to 30
yale to 31
harv/quin 32

win 3 of the next 5 gets us to 31 and so many common games not sure can get below 2-3 if we just do out job on home ice.

quin wins out means clarkson tops out at 28, yale at 29

I just sent John Whelan a PM abut the "ECAC Playoff Possibilities Script". Hopefully he has the time.

In the meantime this (http://playoffstatus.com/ecachockey/ecacstandings.html) is pretty cool.

6:31, herpa-derp still on WHCU.  They've been missing their marks worse and worse.

And another butchered pre-game interview with the Cornell coach, who this night was not Mike Schafer, but Ben Syer. Sounds like tonight we're mostly worried about Yale's Joe Snively.

I guess we should worry about the funk we're in for the last 3 periods

really had no reason to be trailing after the first, controlled play pretty well.

then the 2nd looks like the third of last night.. chasing plays and getting beat to lose pucks..

cycle is doing ok but not getting any goals so thats not really doing much to help win.

someone needs to figure out that scoring from 3 ft away is allowed.

The goaltending in this game is shabby on both sides

We better exploit that, then.  I don't want to go to the North Country needing wins.

Looks like we dropped to #10 in the pairwise.

Which isn't all bad.  It likely keeps us away from fargo.

Great point.

Here's another thing. If this team becomes healthy and has some time to get everyone (except Haiskanen, who's out for the season) into game shape, skating together, and playing as they're capable, I really believe we can hold our own against anyone. So instead of an 8-9 matchup, 7-10 is not the end of the world.

We're 0.0001 behind Western Michigan in RPI. If we flip that, we wind up moving up to 8th because we beat Arizona State in both head to head and common opponents (at least for now, depending on how any remaining games against Clarkson, Harvard, and Princeton go).

Well hopefully if the RPI is that close, they send Western west and keep us east.

I'm still hoping we end up in Allentown, but I won't hold my breath.

The land was deeded to William Penn in 1736, so this is the first time in at least 283 years that anyone has said that.

Also the first time in almost that long that Allentown was officially referred to as "Midwest".

Back then it was "the West."  Ohio didn't become "the West" until the 1770's.

Fort Pitt was the west.  Allentown was definitely east.

And considering the rink is less than 2 miles from my home, I think my original sentiment is quite justified, ::moon::
