A very important game against an opponent we have beaten just once in the last six RS meetings (http://tbrw.info/index.html?/weekly_Updates/cornell_H2H_by_Team.html).
Clarkson band in Section E? That's different.

They decided to put the visitors in the corner rather than in section O.
Holy F... That Regus goal was absolutely insane.

Yep. Goal of the year.
With the win we move to 8 in PWR, at least briefly.
1. N St. Cloud
2. H UMass
3. B Ohio State
4. E Quinnipiac
5. N Minn-Duluth
6. W Mankato
7. N Denver
8. E Cornell
9. I Arizona State
10. N Western Michigan
11. H Lowell
12. H Providence
13. E Clarkson
14. E Harvard
15. H Northeastern
30. A American International

Hope Cornell posts the full replay, showing all the angles and the celebration, rather than just a couple seconds of the goal in real-time, as they've been doing lately on their video page. Speaking of which, who is in charge of putting together the highlights? And why do they not put up the post-game press conferences anymore? I loved watching those.
I've been very impressed with the team this year. To be where they are after losing their three biggest goal scorers from last season is quite a feat. Hope they can keep it up.

I noticed ASU there and took a look at their remaining schedule out of curiousity. They only have
4 games left. Two at home against the American International and then they end the season with a pair of two at Minnesota. It's very likely that they could have an at-large bid locked up at the beginning of March. That would basically mean that 14 spots would be up for grabs assuming no other team outside of the top 16 decides to win its conference tournament.

I think that's a legitimate ESPN Top Ten Plays of the Day candidate.

Agree. Hope somebody gets it to them. It

Daily Sun twitter said Haiskenan had surgery on the cut forearm and quoted Schafer saying he'll be out "a while."
Mankato tied by Michigan Tech so they drop below Denver, but not quite enough for us to pass them.

Well that really sucks...
ECAC contenders now in a nearly perfect stepladder:
22 Cornell
21 Quinnipiac
20 Harvard (+1 GP)
19 Yale
18 Clarkson
16 Dartmouth
15 Brown
Goal margins are a very different story:
21 Cornell
23 Quinnipiac
13 Harvard (+1 GP)
+2 Yale
18 Clarkson
-3 Dartmouth
-3 Brown

Surgery for a cut suggests... well, you know. Tendons. That had to be one helluva cut.
I watched blood spurting from his cut forearm as he rushed to the bench to get treatment; despite his holding it with his other hand... was scary! He left a trail of blood across half of the rink. Hope he is OK and can make a complete recovery. Sending prayers and best wishes his way!

.....and injuries.
Regush's goal gets better the more times I see it.

CHA said it was a cut tendon.
they say tendon surgery is a 10-12 week recovery depending i guess on how accurate and bad the cut was.. still not likely he plays again this year i guess.

Where did you see this? (I'm wondering what CHA site or e-mailing, as I'm also a member, but apparently don't know where to look for info.)
Thanks!

Thanks, Drew. Though at this rate we'll be down to about 8 skaters by the time we hit Cheel.
Hey Trotsky, hope the kids get better, we want you at your best .....no excuses :)

Yesterday and today, I tried posting a "big" medical post on this, but I keep getting a "Phorum Database Error". So here's something shorter.
I still doubt that it was just a tendon. That amount of blood loss makes an artery, likely Radial, very suspicious. There may also be tendon injuries, but by themselves they shouldn't have that much bleeding.

You're probably right, Doctor H. But knowing hockey, we're doing better than when they just call it an "upper body injury."
It was mentioned on the radio pre-game show that he underwent successful surgery and has another surgery scheduled for later this week.

Guessing, he had the artery repaired emergently and once they know that is okay, they'll fix everything else.

Fuck the hockey, I'm just glad the kid isn't going to go through life with only one functioning hand.

At the alumni dinner in New Haven last week, Schafer said that, even though players don't like to wear Kevlar protective sleeves designed to prevent such injuries, from now on all players on teams he coaches will have to wear them.

He should get the surgery footage from Cody. (I assume procedures are recorded and HIPAA allows the patient access?) Just throw that up on the screen after a team dinner once a year and every player will have it imprinted in his brain for life. I saw Signal 30 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mGPz2a5P_E) at 15 and it has explicitly affected my driving behavior ever since. That shit works.
Tapping so I can look at it in the thread list again.
Trotsky....can't believe you mentioned Signal 30.....same experience from middle school,,,,scary as hell.
