Not a league game, says the Cornell release. So Cornell and Harvard play 3 times, at least, next year. http://cornellbigred.com/news/2018/4/26/mens-ice-hockey-mens-hockey-to-battle-with-rival-harvard-at-2018-frozen-apple.aspx
It sounds as if Harvard did not get enough R.O.I. to continue its Rivalry on Ice series in NYC.
Quote from: Cornell PRFor Harvard, it will be a return to New York after playing in Rivalry On Ice games against Yale in 2014 and 2015 and Quinnipiac in 2016.
and we play them Dec 1st.. so a week apart.
ordinarily i'd say the league game is more important but - while winning every game is of course the goal - winning the game that i am at with my family is the priority.
Ticket sales start today. (https://cornellbigredtickets.universitytickets.com/w/event.aspx?id=1584)
FWIW, looks like tickets have barely been released either on ticketmaster or at MSG box office, which I'm leaving now. Very little available either in the presale or regular sale. Are the schools holding back for now ?
Several Cornell graduating classes bought large blocks ahead of time, and regional Cornell Clubs usually do as well. Hundreds of tickets are accounted for besides the sections being sold on Cornell's ticketing website.
The Cornell ticket office is scalping. They seem to have jacked the tickets up at least 10% over face. I'm lucky, I can walk to MSG and buy at the box office and avoid all fees. Disappointing, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Honestly, I'd rather the money go to them than, say, TicketBastard.
10% isn't scalping, it's "carrying charges (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-8yM_rs2Ps)." 100% is scalping.
Agreed as to TicketBastard, but why do it at all. Carrying charges. LOL. It's like when banks installed ATMs saying it created convenience for the customer, when it was an excuse to fire the tellers and then add fees to the ATM, so they're making money on both ends. So petty. I'm lucky that I live near MSG and can avoid the fees
