Title: ECAC Game 3s
Post by: dbilmes on March 11, 2018, 05:17:06 PM
Dartmouth takes a quick 1-0 lead on Harvard after a Crimson giveaway leaves a Dartmouth player with the puck alone in front of Madden.

The lead didn't last long. Donato ties it on PPG after Dartmouth has chance to clear puck on PK, but fails to do so.

Donato.  2-1, Harvard.

Donato came out of the penalty box and shortly afterwards scores his 25th goal to make it 2-1 Harvard 8 minutes into second period.

Imagine how many goals he would have if he hadn't gone to Korea last month.

I'm rooting for Dartmouth.

Looks like Harvard will be joining us in Lake Placid. They go up 3-1 midway through third period after Dartmouth had some good pressure on a power play but couldn't score.

Donato gets the hat trick with a highlight-reel goal with 6:44 left. 4-1 Harvard. Donato has scored 9 goals against Dartmouth this season.

Clarkson up 2-0 already. This is shaping up to be an interesting Placid...

Clarkson up 2-0 late in the 1st. Given Colgate's woeful offense, looking likely we'll see Clarkson-Harvard in the 2nd semifinal.

Clarkson in LP will help the gate. It is only 90 minutes to LP in good weather. Day after the Clarkson-Cornell game it was three miserable hours. Plus there'll be feel-good stories about both the men and women making the NCAAs. Perhaps Clarkson will charter buses for the students. Harvard will retaliate and set up up Uber Black service.

Who would we like to see were we to advance to the title game? Clarkson is rated higher but I think that would be a super game, Clarkson vs. Cornell.

If we win out we are guaranteed #2 or better in PWR. A win against Clarkson is part sttange permutations that could get us to pass St. Cloud.

Initially I was going to post, "Good Post", as it didn't look like there was anything new. But then I found it inside the quote. You might want to fix that.:-D

The trials and tribulations of posting during the morning commute.  (On a train not while driving...)
